Here we are back on what some call Humpday, the day that is halfway through the week and encourage them to press on to a strong finish. There have been many of these days that have felt more like mountains than speed bumps and yet God has enabled me to get around, over, or through them and finish strong. As I step into today I lean into God trusting Him over my own understanding, acknowledging that He is lining things up for what’s next. I believe in Him and trust Him to finish the preparation of the good works He has prepared in advance for me to accomplish. I will not lose hope because Jesus promises that by my faith in Him, believing that He is able, all things are possible!

God’s Timing is Perfect:

Trusting in God’s Perfect Timing

Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Key Takeaway:

This verse reminds us that God has a perfect timing for everything. He makes all things beautiful in His time, according to His plan and purpose.

Application:

Trusting in God’s timing means recognizing that He knows what is best for us, even when we can’t fully understand His ways. It involves surrendering our own desires and agendas to His sovereign will.

Finding Strength in Active Waiting

Isaiah 40:31 - "But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint."

Key Takeaway:

Waiting on the Lord involves patience and trust. It’s not passive waiting but active anticipation of God’s promises. And as we wait on Him, He strengthens us and enables us to endure.

Application:

During times of transition or waiting, we can actively seek God through prayer, meditation on His Word, and worship. This strengthens our faith and helps us to persevere with hope and endurance.

Resting in God’s Good Purpose

Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Key Takeaway:

God works all things together for our good according to His purpose. Even in the midst of waiting or transition, His perfect timing is at work, orchestrating events for our ultimate benefit.

Application:

Rather than becoming discouraged or anxious during waiting periods, we can rest in the assurance that God is actively working behind the scenes for our good. This allows us to maintain a perspective of hope and trust in His faithfulness.

In summary, embracing the truth that “God’s timing is perfect” provides us with comfort and encouragement during times of waiting or transition. By anchoring ourselves in Scripture, actively waiting on the Lord, and trusting in His providence, we can navigate these seasons with hope and confidence in His faithfulness.

God will Provide:

Trusting in God’s Faithful Provision

Philippians 4:19 - "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."

Key Takeaway:

This verse assures believers that God is faithful to meet all their needs. His provision is not limited by circumstances but flows from His abundant riches.

Application:

Trusting in God’s provision involves surrendering our worries and anxieties to Him, knowing that He cares for us deeply (1 Peter 5:7). It means relying on His promises and seeking His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), confident that He will supply what is necessary for our well-being.

Finding Assurance in God’s Care

Matthew 6:26 - "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Key Takeaway:

Jesus teaches that if God provides for the birds of the air, how much more will He provide for His beloved children, who are of greater value to Him.

Application:

Reflecting on God’s care for His creation reminds us of His faithfulness and generosity. It encourages us to have faith in His provision, knowing that He values us immensely. We can approach times of waiting or transition with confidence, knowing that our Heavenly Father will provide for our needs according to His wisdom and love.

Embracing God’s Abundant Blessings

2 Corinthians 9:8 - "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

    Key Takeaway:

God’s provision is not merely adequate but abundant. He blesses us so that we can overflow with blessings to others and fulfill the good works He has prepared for us.

    Application:

Trusting in God’s provision means embracing a mindset of abundance rather than scarcity. Even in times of waiting or transition, we can have confidence that God will supply us with everything we need to fulfill His purposes. This empowers us to be generous and to look for opportunities to bless others with the abundance we have received.

In summary, the affirmation that “God will provide” offers profound support and encouragement during waiting or transition periods. By grounding ourselves in Scripture, trusting in God’s promises, and embracing a mindset of abundance, we can navigate these seasons with confidence, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares for us deeply and will supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

What to do while in the middle?

    1. Trust in God’s Perfect Timing: While in the middle of waiting or transition, continue to trust in God’s perfect timing. Remember that He has a purpose and plan for your life, and He is actively working behind the scenes, even when things seem uncertain (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
    2. Seek Strength in Active Waiting: Use this time in the middle as an opportunity to actively wait on the Lord. Engage in prayer, meditation on Scripture, and worship to renew your strength and deepen your relationship with God (Isaiah 40:31).
    3. Rest in God’s Provision: Find peace and assurance in the knowledge that God will provide for your needs. Instead of worrying about the future, trust in His faithfulness and rely on His abundant blessings (Philippians 4:19).
    4. Embrace God’s Care: Recognize that God cares for you deeply and values you immensely. Take comfort in His love and draw near to Him during this time of transition (Matthew 6:26).
    5. Overflow with Gratitude: Cultivate a heart of gratitude and thankfulness for God’s goodness and provision. Even in the midst of uncertainty, there are blessings to be found, and expressing gratitude helps shift your focus from what you lack to what you have (2 Corinthians 9:8).
    6. Serve Others with Abundance: Use the blessings and abundance that God provides to bless others. Look for opportunities to share love, kindness, and generosity with those around you, demonstrating God’s goodness in tangible ways (2 Corinthians 9:8).
    7. Stay Hopeful and Trusting: Maintain a posture of hope and trust in God’s promises. Even when the path forward seems unclear, hold fast to your faith and believe that God is leading you toward His best for your life (Romans 8:28).

In summary, while in the middle of a waiting or transition period, find support and encouragement by trusting in God’s timing, seeking strength in active waiting, resting in His provision, embracing His care, overflowing with gratitude, serving others with abundance, and staying hopeful and trusting in His promises.

Emphasizes the importance of obeying God’s commandments and staying faithful to His covenant. Just as the Israelites were called to trust in God’s guidance and timing as they journeyed through the wilderness, we too are encouraged to trust in His leading during our own seasons of waiting and transition. Deuteronomy 4:31 reassures us that even in the midst of trials, God will not forsake us, underscoring His faithfulness and provision throughout every step of the journey.

'For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath. '

Today is a day that thanks to Jesus is filled with inspiration. So let us make sure we receive the gift of grace through Jesus by faith in Him and step up and out to accomplish all the good works He has prepared in advance for us to accomplish. If you haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, why not choose today to be the day your life is transformed and you become a new creation and start the journey of becoming everything God created, purposed, and planned for you to be?

    Let’s pray:

Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place paying the penalty for my sins. I am willing right now to turn from my sin and accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. I commit myself to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me and take control, and to help me become the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you Father for loving me. In Jesus' name. Amen
