Is it something silly like, is water wet? Is it a vision of a tropical destination with a beach or a pool? Is it stories of miracles (Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, Joshua and the parting of the Jordan, Noah and the great flood, Jonah and the whale, Jesus walking on water, Jesus turns water into wine, etc.)? Is it the experience of baptism? Could it be the reality that there are people in the world without safe water? When I say water, what comes to mind for you?

This morning when I saw the information on Bing and that it’s “world water day“, so many things came to mind but most were around miracles including that of water baptism. We see throughout history God’s hand at work through water. Consider the miracle of birth, the baby is formed within a water sack and when you hear “my water broke” you know it’s time to head to the hospital because the baby is on the way. I shared links above to many stories related to water but to make today personal, we need to consider what it says to us and how God would use it in and through us. Are you a leader like Moses and Joshua who will need to part the water in order to make it through and bring your team with you? Are you of good character like Noah and God will use water to teach you to trust and be obedient? Are you walking apart from God or even trying to run from God and may be like Jonah who needed the water experience to turn you back to God? Could it be time to show your trust in Jesus and like Peter you hear the message to get out of the boat and walk on the water with Jesus? Whatever the case, the key is to keep connected with God and be obedient to His instruction and direction for the greater good of the world around you.
When I say water, what comes to mind for you?

Where are you at in your journey today? Are you leaning into God and pursuing Him? Are you picking up your cross daily and pursuing Jesus? Are you trusting God rather than your own understanding, acknowledging Him to allow Him to show you the path to take? Are you running from God? Are you at the end of your rope? Let’s pause and wait on God and allow Him to speak His love and truth to us through His Word. Let’s allow today to be a turning point that will allow us to turn back to God and step into the purposes He has created and planned for us.
Did you read something today that felt like a new revelation? Would you be willing to leave a comment or question? Are you walking your life with God? Have you made the decision to invite Jesus into your life so that you can have the divide covered? Have you invited Jesus to be Your Lord and Savior, paying the ultimate price to cover the original sin for we have all missed the mark, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and we all need Jesus, our Lord and Savior to help us be forgiven and reconciled back to God! Could today be your day? Let’s pray:
