Entering Launch Zone: Up, Up, and Away

As I lean into God and head into today, Wednesday, Humpday, it will set the trajectory for what is yet to come by God’s grace, mercy, promises, and plans up, up and away. Getting for today feels like entering launch zone when the astronauts are preparing to get in and buckle up for the incredible experience that happens as part of takeoff or launch. I am not sure of the specific destination yet but am pretty sure about the general vicinity. So, leaning in to see what will happen.

It’s interesting that one contact has provided me a set of forms that we’ll be able to discuss. Another I learned how most of the team is out this week. So it is feeling like as we enter the launch zone, a bunch of the work is going to be taking place next week. It’s that quiet, that waiting, that preparation that takes place before you hear the engines starting to roar and the countdown finishes, and you hold on for dear life as you get sucked back into your seat.

So, what’s going to be on the list for today? Are there people who don’t know who need to find out? Will there be conversations that will help confirm the specific destination within the target destination? Could today provide time to wrap things up and finish a great accomplishment before I leave? Trusting God’s hand to lead and guide me through it all by His wisdom and discernment and for His glory!

Leviticus 25

Restoring What Is Lost: Redemption in God’s Economy

Chapter 25 of Leviticus introduces the concept of the Sabbath year and the Year of Jubilee, emphasizing the importance of rest, restoration, and redemption. Just as astronauts undergo rigorous training and preparation before launch, God instructs His people to honor periods of rest and renewal. Verses 8-12 highlight the Year of Jubilee as a time of liberation, where debts are forgiven, and land is returned to its original owners. This chapter underscores God’s compassionate and just character, offering hope for restoration and redemption even in the midst of challenges. The key takeaway is the importance of trusting in God’s provision and His promise to restore what is lost. As we navigate the uncertainties of each day, let us rest in the assurance that God is faithful to redeem every aspect of our lives, bringing wholeness and renewal. (Leviticus 25:8-12)

Leviticus 26

Embracing Blessings Through Obedience

Chapter 26 of Leviticus speaks of the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience to God’s commands. Just as astronauts meticulously prepare for launch, we too must prepare ourselves for the journey ahead, leaning into God’s guidance and trusting in His promises. In verse 3-4, God assures us of blessings if we walk in His statutes and keep His commandments. Conversely, verses 14-17 warn of the consequences of disobedience, including fear, illness, and defeat. The key takeaway is the importance of obedience to God’s word, which sets the trajectory for our lives. As we launch into each day, let us lean into God’s promises and align our actions with His will, trusting that He will guide us to our intended destination. (Leviticus 26:3-4, 14-17)

Devotion and Commitment to God’s Service

Chapter 27 of Leviticus discusses vows and dedications to the Lord. Just as astronauts commit themselves to the mission ahead, we are called to dedicate ourselves fully to God’s service. Verses 1-8 outline the value of various offerings made to the Lord, emphasizing the importance of honoring our commitments to Him. Additionally, verses 28-29 remind us that all devoted things are holy to the Lord and cannot be redeemed. The key takeaway is the significance of honoring our commitments and dedicating our lives to God’s purposes. As we enter the launch zone of each new day, let us renew our commitment to serving God wholeheartedly, trusting that He will bless our obedience and guide us in His perfect will. (Leviticus 27:1-8, 28-29)

Launching Forward in Faith: Embracing God’s Guidance

As we reflect on the lessons from Leviticus 25-27 and the parallels drawn with entering the launch zone, we are reminded of the importance of obedience, devotion, and restoration in our journey of faith. Just as astronauts prepare meticulously for takeoff, we are called to lean into God’s guidance, trusting in His promises and committing ourselves fully to His service. Today, let us launch forward with faith, embracing God’s word as our guiding light and seeking His will in all that we do. May we walk in obedience, honor our commitments, and trust in God’s provision for restoration. As we step into the unknown of this new day, let us hold fast to the assurance that God is with us, leading us onward and upward in His grace and mercy.

Today is a day that thanks to Jesus is filled with inspiration. So let us make sure we receive the gift of grace through Jesus by faith in Him and step up and out to accomplish all the good works He has prepared in advance for us to accomplish. If you haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, why not choose today to be the day your life is transformed and you become a new creation and start the journey of becoming everything God created, purposed, and planned for you to be?

Let’s pray:

Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place paying the penalty for my sins. I am willing right now to turn from my sin and accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. I commit myself to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me and take control, and to help me become the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you Father for loving me. In Jesus' name. Amen
