This is it!

Today is the last day of my reading through the Bible in the a year plan. Tomorrow is a new day and will be something new. What will the new day bring? What will today bring? Today’s just starting and we need to live through today before we can consider what’s next. Today is the present from God, so let’s celebrate and rejoice in today because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring and there is no point worrying about it since we can’t do anything about tomorrow anyways. There is no point worrying about tomorrow because today will have enough things of its own. What is today going to bring? What is today going to be like? What if today were the last day, how would that change things? What if today were the last day and the only people left were the people left behind because they had rejected God’s offer of love and grace? What if today were the last day with only people who rejected God or didn’t really believe in Jesus?

Will you be a part of the remnant left on earth? Will you be part of the ones called into heaven to spend eternity with God? If you are reading this and had to make a choice today, what would you choose? What if this is it? Your last chance to avoid the tribulation? Would you accept Jesus and press thru the tribulation or would you decide before the tribulation and skip that part of the painful time on earth? The choice is yours! The choice is personal! The choice has to be made individually! So choose wisely!

Would you go out of your way to be present in the life of someone else? What if there was a surgery and they needed your help? What if they would be alone and they needed your presence? What if they needed your sacrifice to send someone? Would you do it?

What if this is it?

How will you decide? How will you choose?

Today’s reading from God’s Word concludes Read the Bible for Life 4 + 1 PlanDay 312 of 312:

This is it – this is the day that the Lord has made, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it!

This is it – was how Adam expressed the creation of Eve.

This is it – we see in our reading from Esther as the Jews who were going to get killed found victory. What the Haman had planned for evil, God turned around and used it for good.

This is it – will you remember and celebrate what God is and has done in your life? Will you rejoice and be glad today because it is the day the Lord has made? Will you pass it along?

How will you respond to God’s blessing on your life? How will you serve the people God has put in authority over you to extend that blessing?

Will you use God’s Word to determine what is good and what is evil?

Malachi 3 – speaks of how Jesus is coming! This is it! Let’s do what we are to do for the orphans and widows! Return to God! Give to God what is God’s! Allow God’s test to cause an overflow! Remember God’s Word! Remember God’s Promises! Choose to be a part of the remnant that will be spared of the tribulation!

Acts 28 – Paul shares God’s truth and the love of Jesus while in chains so that God’s plan for his life could be fulfilled. Will you understand? Will you see? Will you hear? Will you accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ?

God’s Word is trustworthy and true!

‘“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.”’

Revelation 22:7

We are to only worship God! Not people! Not things! Only God!

The time is near so take hold of all the readings from the Word of God – the Bible! Take hold of the truth shared through Revelation before it is too late!

‘“Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”’

Revelation 22:12-13

Get prepared! Get ready! This is it!

‘“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.”’

Revelation 22:16

Come before it is too late!

‘The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book. He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.’

Revelation 22:17-21

Turn to God! This is it! Turn to His Word and receive His truth, His hope, His love, and His plan for your life! Obey what is in the book of God! The Bible!

Today’s reading concludes the book of Revelation in our reading plan. This is it!

Let’s mediate on the last part of today’s reading today that comes through Psalms 150:

‘Praise the Lord ! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord ! Praise the Lord !’

Psalms 150:1-6

So where are you at today? My hope and prayer is that You will ask Jesus into your heart so that I will get to spend eternity in God’s presence with you. Are you ready for forgiveness and peace? Are you ready for a hope and a future? Are you ready for a transformation where the old is gone and the new has come? Are you ready to being the journey of knowing right from wrong? Then let’s pray together to invite Jesus into your heart and your life so that His peace which surpasses all understanding can guide you and comfort you, protect your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If this is the first time you have prayed to invite Jesus into your heart, leave me a comment so that I can rejoice with the angels in Heaven. If this is a re commitment to Jesus, leave me a comment so that I can rejoice with the angels in Heaven. If you are still questioning or seeking, don’t go it alone, feel free to leave me a comment so we can discuss it.

Let’s pray:

^^^^^^^^^^^Will you be willing to put your name there today?

What if you knew tomorrow was the end?

What if you found out there was just one more day? Would it change how you live out your today? Would it change where you would go? Would it change what you would do? Would it change what you would say? Would it make any difference at all to you? Would it matter what you only had 1 more day of? Would it matter what it was the end of?

What if it was the end of a series? What if it was the end of a relationship? What if it was the end of a season? What if it was the end of a reading? What if it was the end of time? What if it was the end of your time? Would it make a difference to what you would do and how you would do it?

What if it was going to be the day Jesus comes back? What if you knew that on that day all the believers would be taken away and there would some left behind to live through the tribulation? What if you knew it was the last chance you were going to have to share Jesus with the people around you so that they wouldn’t be left behind but would be able to spend eternity with you in heaven with God? What if you knew the pain and the suffering that will take place through the tribulation, would that change how you live out your today? What if you finished reading the book of Revelation and know what it says? What if you had read the Old Testament prophets and you know what it says? How would this knowledge change how you live out that last day?

For me, tomorrow is the last day of my reading through the Bible using the devotional “Read the Bible for Life 4 + 1 Plan“. Today is day 311 of 312. When I look at what is in today’s reading and how my reading this time through concludes in the book of Revelation in comparison to when I started blogging back in 2005 and Revelation was the start of my reading plan, it causes me to wonder. Every year when I have gotten to the book of Revelation I felt like the time was drawing closer and closer. Every year when I read the book of Revelation, it causes me joy to know that Jesus is victorious and sadness that there are people who even up until that point who will continue to reject Jesus and not get to spend eternity with God. As I consider that tomorrow is the end of this time through the God’s Word that is alive and speaks to me daily, it makes me wonder, what if as I finish the reading the trumpet sounds and the Christians are all drawn up into heaven, is there something I can do today to make a difference or impact the lives of anyone who could be left behind in order to change their mind and have them come along or leave them a message, like a message in a bottle so that they would know not to lose hope but to receive Jesus before the end of the story, it will be hard, really really hard during the tribulation, but to call on Jesus and be a part of the remnant who will get to experience heaven for eternity.

Are there family members? Are there friends? Are there neighbors? Are there co-workers? Are there strangers? How to pour into things that will last rather than have a bunch of things that will will rust and lead to nothing? How to live out today as if tomorrow is the end? How to share God’s love with everyone? How to share God’s hope with everyone? How to make a difference in the lives of every person who crosses my path?

What if it was the end of a season in your career? What if it was the end of a season in your org? What if it was the end of a season in your team? Would any of these cause you to live out your today any differently?

Are you willing to make more than a scratch and more of a dent on society? Are you willing to make an impact that will make a difference in lives for more than a moment? Are you willing to be salt and light? Are you willing to share your testimony in order that by the blood of the lamb and the words of your testimony they too can be over comers? Are you willing to share your testimony in order that by the blood of Jesus and the words of your testimony they too can be more than conquerors? Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone and share your testimony and how it is connected to the blood of Jesus so that others will overcome?

We don’t know the day or the hour that Jesus is coming back. So we need to be ready and keep watch!

So how will you live out your today?

Would it make any difference if you knew tomorrow was the end?

Today’s reading from God’s Word as part of the reading plan: Read the Bible for Life 4 + 1 Plan:

Today’s reading is Day 311 of 312:

God knows your plans. God will thwart the evil plans against His people.

Beware evil plans as it may turn back to you.

What will you do with your authority given from above to ensure to give Him the praise, the honor, and the glory.

God’s love is forever! Will you accept it? God is love!

Will you bring your life as a living sacrifice to God after having received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, purified and cleaned?

Will you be faithful to God? Will you guard your heart?

Will you receive the water of life that flows from the throne of God and the Lamb?

Will you step out from a life that is cursed and into the blessings of God?

Will you choose a life outside of darkness where there is no need for lamps or the sun?

Let’s praise God! Let’s sing a new song! Let’s rejoice with dancing! Let’s be faithful to God!

^^^^^^^^^^^Will you be willing to put your name there today?

It’s time to get back up!

Been knocked down? Been pushed over? Been overlooked? Been misled? Get back up. Fallen over? Fallen down? Slipped up? Get back up again! Do you lose your way? It’s never too late to get back up again! Get up! Shine!

Toby Mac – Get Back Up

As I get up this morning I prepare for my day by turning to God’s Word to learn what He has to tell me today. His Word never returns void even when I have slipped up, lost my way, or even feel like I have fallen too far, but His Word reminds me that His Love never fails and it is never too late to get back up again and get back in sync with Him and His way!

This is a fallen world in need of a savior and so God who loves us so much provided one so that through Him and our decision to accept the gift of grace, we can be saved, written in the book of life, and spend eternity with God!

It’s time to get back up again!

Today’s reading from God’s Word using the devotional Read the Bible for Life 4 + 1 Plan:

(Day 310 of 312)

It’s time to face the the king in order to accomplish God’s will for you.

It’s time to pursue what God’s calling for your life.

It’s time to finish strong what God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish.

Even when others are trying to put you down or drag you through the mud, God can exalt you and lift you up, so don’t stay down but instead make your cares be know to God!

Turn to God and invite Jesus into your heart to clean you up from the inside out as the overflow of the lips comes from the mouth.

Jesus is the fountain of living water and those who drink from it will never be thirsty again.

Jesus is coming back! When He comes back will you be ready? When He comes back will you be part of the people who are taken up to heaven or will you be part of the group left behind with one more chance through the trials and tribulation to change your mind as judgement takes place.

Jesus is the Lord of Lord the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace!

God’s plan is that nobody would perish but that everyone would repent and be saved.

Just because something bad happens doesn’t mean we are cursed or bad or wrong as we saw in today’s reading with Paul, so don’t let other people’s judgement define you or knock you down to stay. Get back up again! Walk out your faith in Jesus and allow your hope and love and light to shine into this dark and fallen world.

Ever imagined what heaven might look like? Imagine this description:

‘The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. When he measured it, he found it was a square, as wide as it was long. In fact, its length and width and height were each 1,400 miles. Then he measured the walls and found them to be 216 feet thick (according to the human standard used by the angel). The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass. The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass. I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory. Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there. And all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city. Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.’

Revelation 21:15-27

Will you choose to receive the gift of grace from God and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and invite Him into your heart? Will you give God all the praise, the honor, and the glory for what He has already done for you and wanting you to decided and be saved?

Let’s make today be a day when our lives are living sacrifices to God that will bring Him praise in all the things we think, say, and do.

Let’s pray:

Let your light shine!

We are to be salt and light! We are to be light of the world shining from the hilltop! We are to not hide our light under a bushel but put it high for others to see! We are to let our light shine before people!

Don’t allow fear to creep around in the dark robing others of the joy they could have by living in the light of Jesus! Don’t allow fears to overwhelm you, instead compare them to how great and big God is so that the reality of how small they are so that you can shine bright! Don’t be afraid! Fear Not Just Believe! Stand tall and shine bright! So let’s show everyone how we aren’t afraid by letting our lights shine! Don’t be scared! Let your light shine!

Why not start today with some joy by listening to this short video?

So as we start this day will you be a conduit of light into this dark world around us? Will you let your light shine in and through everything you do in life? Will your light shine so bright that people will notice?

Will you allow God to bring calm to the storm? Will you allow God to bring peace in the midst of the trials? Will you allow God’s light to shine on you in the midst of the darkness? Will you allow God’s love to fill your heart to overflowing? Will you allow God into your heart that He will be with you to lead and guide, direct and correct? Will you put your hope and trust in God and then walk out your steps following His narrow path and into His presence? Let His light shine down on you! Fear not the darkness but rather receive Jesus and allow His light to shine down on you!

Will you let your light shine? Will you let God’s light shine thru you?

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 309 of 312)

Ever been faced with a challenge or threat?

Ever been faced with an awkward moment where if you didn’t do something there was going to be trouble?

Ever been faced with a situation where you had to come out and share something personal about yourself?

How did you do it? How did you get the courage? How did you know it was the right thing to do? How did you know it was the right time to do it?

Would you be able to come out and tell people that you are a Christian?

Would you be able to come out and tell people that you are a follower of the one true God?

Would you be able to shine so bright that others will know that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?

Imagine the pressure on Esther. Imagine the potential outcome of inaction. Imagine the position she was in and the impact and influence that could yield. Imagine the risk of sharing who she was to her life and the lives of those she cared for. Imagine what it would take to build up the faith, the courage, and the boldness to go through with it.

Would you consider fasting about it?

Would you consider asking your trusted friends to pray with you about it?

Would you step up and step out to do it?

Wold you let your light shine so brightly that it could let everyone know what you believe in?

Do you realize that if you don’t answer the call you have been given that you will miss the window and God will raise up someone else to get it done. How would you respond to the message that you will be … or you will be nothing? I know it didn’t sit well with me when it happened. We see in today’s reading that Esther didn’t like the other option either and called for a 3 day prayer and fasting in preparation of stepping out and letting her light shine before the king.

You don’t want others to be lost or left behind right? So let your light shine and point them in the right way back to God!

You don’t want others to be lead astray right? So let your light shine so that people will know the truth and the truth will set them free!

You want people to hear of Jesus before it is too late and that they will receive Him so that when He returns they won’t be left behind, have to deal with the trials and tribulations, or even worse end up being thrown into the fiery pit right where they will be mourning and screaming and spend eternity apart from God right?

You don’t anyone to be loss right? So help them to know the spiritual food they need to eat in order to not die.

Consider Paul’s situation and how he wanted to save the people’s lives:

‘About midnight on the fourteenth night of the storm, as we were being driven across the Sea of Adria, the sailors sensed land was near. They dropped a weighted line and found that the water was 120 feet deep. But a little later they measured again and found it was only 90 feet deep. At this rate they were afraid we would soon be driven against the rocks along the shore, so they threw out four anchors from the back of the ship and prayed for daylight. Then the sailors tried to abandon the ship; they lowered the lifeboat as though they were going to put out anchors from the front of the ship. But Paul said to the commanding officer and the soldiers, “You will all die unless the sailors stay aboard.” So the soldiers cut the ropes to the lifeboat and let it drift away. Just as day was dawning, Paul urged everyone to eat. “You have been so worried that you haven’t touched food for two weeks,” he said. “Please eat something now for your own good. For not a hair of your heads will perish.” Then he took some bread, gave thanks to God before them all, and broke off a piece and ate it. Then everyone was encouraged and began to eat— all 276 of us who were on board. After eating, the crew lightened the ship further by throwing the cargo of wheat overboard.’

— Acts of the Apostles 27:27-38

Let’s let the light of God shine through us that nobody would be in the darkness but would know there is light and love and hope.

Let’s let our light shine and praise God!

Let’s let our light shine and reach out to the brokenhearted!

Let’s let our light shine in the darkness just light the stars bring light into the night darknes!

Let’s shine the light of God by sharing God’s Word and God’s love with the world around us!

Let’s make it happen before it is too late!

Let’s pray:

Stand up for what you believe in!

What do you believe? Do you believe something that is true or just believed to be? Do you believe something that has been proven or something that is temporary? Do you believe something that will last the test of time or something that continues to change? Consider the science we took in school and what parts of it have been disproven and now there are new facts? Consider the Word of God which remains the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow – now people may come up with different translations or paraphrases but the source hasn’t changed. Consider what is right and what is wrong, yes there are absolutes. Consider what is good and what is bad, yes there are absolutes. Is what you believe a truth or an opinion? Is what you believe a truth or a feeling? Is what you believe a truth or a myth? We need to make sure what we believe is a solid foundation rather than shifting sands that the wind and waves can wash away. We need to make sure what we believe is aligned with the cornerstone of life which is Jesus so that we stay on track. Consider the 10 commandments, Jesus didn’t make them go away but rather to accomplish them, He called us to a higher standard in order to be able to raise the bar. We need to take a stand so that the average doesn’t keep going down but instead can start going up. We need to take a stand so that love is poured out all around us. We need to take a stand so that people around us can have hope. We need to take a stand so that faith can abound and there will be renewing and rejuvenating of lives and relationships.

So what do you believe? Will you stand up for what you believe? Would you give your life for what you believe?

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 308 of 312)

Are you ready to step up? Are you ready to become who God is calling you to be? Are you ready to be who God created you to be? Are you ready to go beyond your comfort zone in order to be who God is calling you to be?

Are you keeping your truth a secret out of obedience or fear?

Is your safe place really safe or something that will be torn down?

Are you investing in things that are temporary or things that will last for eternity? Are you investing in stuff or souls that will last forever? Are you helping the poor? Are you helping the orphans? Are you helping the widows?

Are you believing in the king who rode in on a donkey?

Are you ready to be restored? Will you invite the Lord into your heart? Are you ready for your strength to be renewed?

Who will you believe? Will you take courage and do what God is calling you and trusting His Word?

Are you ready to live in the new rather than the old? Are you ready for your home to be with God? Or will you reject God and spend eternity apart from Him?

Will you walk with God as your helper? Will you take hold of His promises which are good and true? Are you walking in freedom that has been purchased through Jesus or walking in bondage to sin and the temptations of the devil?

Let’s close reading today’s psalm together:

‘Praise the Lord ! Let all that I am praise the Lord . I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath. Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. The Lord will reign forever. He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations. Praise the Lord !’

Psalms 146

Let’s pray:

Will you stand for your principles and what you believe in?

What if you don’t understand? Will you ask and question? What if you get an alternative would you give in or stand firm? What if you ask the questions and make your case and they still reject it? What if you they talk down to you or try to make you feel less? What if they reject the truth and replace it with their own version of reality? What will you do? Where will you turn? How will you know? What if today or tomorrow happen to be that day of challenge?

Will you start your today by putting on the full armor of God?

13Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:13-17

Will you start your today by praying and asking God to give you wisdom? Will you allow the Holy Spirit to give you a peace no matter what happens? Will you allow the Holy Spirit to give you direction, discernment, and wisdom? Will you stand firm? Will you trust God through it all? Will you resist the lies and attacks of the devil? Will you receive both the protection of the armor and the strength and power that comes through the Word of God?

What if you get the call? What if you get selected? What if you get the news? What if it takes praying and fasting? What if it takes asking others to join you in the process? What if it is a family matter? What are you going to do?

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 307 of 312)

How would you respond if they rejected you? or your ask?

How would you respond if they refused or wronged you?

How would you respond if they respond in a way that seems to despise you?

Will you ask wise advisers for input?

Will you seek justice and mercy?

Will you live out as a servant leader?

Will you show mercy and kindness to others without scheming?

Will you receive the promised blessings from God?

Will you put God’s will and God’s plan before your own?

Will you turn to God and do what He asks of you?

Nothing is impossible for God! What may seem impossible with people is not impossible for God! With God all things are possible.

Let’s be strong and finish the task put before us!

Let’s be symbols and sources of blessings!

Let’s love truth and peace!

How far are you willing to go to make sure the right thing happens? Are you willing to appeal the decision?

Will you warn people if you sense trouble ahead? Will you share this with them in order to save their lives?

How will you respond if they won’t listen? How will you respond when the casualties you warned of happen? How will you respond?

Will you already be with God or will you still be in tribulation when the time comes?

Will you be undecided or even outright rejecting Jesus throughout the tribulation and have to deal with the related troubles? Will you be deceived from the truth? Will you be consumed by it? Will you spend eternity with God or will you spend eternity apart from God, tormented day and night forever and ever?

Is your name in the book of life? Have you decided to receive the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ? Or are you willing to deal with the consequences? Are you willing to deal with the judgement for all the things you had done or not done?

‘And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.’

Revelation 20:15

Will you exalt God? Will you praise God and His greatness? Will you pass on to the next generation all that God is and has done in your life? Will you proclaim His greatness? Will you sign for joy? Will you thank God? Will you glorify Him through sharing examples? Will you share how God’s promises are true and trustworthy? Will you call upon the Lord and be saved?

Let’s pray:

When would you stop giving your all?

Does it depend who is counting on you? Does it depend on what the goal is? Does it depend on the current score? Does it depend on who is leading the charge? Does it matter on others? Is it all up to you? Is there any reason to stop before it is over? Will you run your life to win? Will you finish strong? Will you keep up the good fight? Will you complete the good work that has been prepared in advance for you to accomplish? Will you testify to the truth? Will you live your life as a living sacrifice to God so that it is pleasing to God? Will you give your all for God? Will you pursue His purpose and plan for your life? Will you be salt and light? Will you spread hope and joy? Will you share love and faith? Will you finish strong? Will you live to hear God say “well done good and faithful servant“? Will you fight the good fight? Will you finish the race? Will you keep the faith? Will you not stop until it is over?

We all have a choice to make today, so choose wisely!

Having watched my daughter play last night and keep giving her all till the game was over was inspiring. Having watched my kids finish strong in everything they do before moving on to the next stage of their lives has been inspiring. Seeing them give their all in order to achieve their goals reminds me that it isn’t over for me yet but that I need to keep up the good fight, I need to finish the race, I need to keep up the faith not only for myself but for my family and legacy too.

As I read this I know I have breath in my lungs and life to live and so it isn’t over yet. So this is the day that the Lord has made, so I will rejoice and be glad in it! So this day I will be salt and light into the world around me sharing the power of Jesus in all that I do. God, give me opportunity to speak life and truth in love. God, give me opportunity to speak of the miracles of Jesus into my life. God, give me opportunities to point people to Jesus that they may join me in Your presence for eternity as children of God!

When will you stop giving your all?

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 306 of 312)

Will you give God your all? Will you give your heart to Jesus?

Will you help change take place so that things will be better than they were? Will you be a part of the reformation?

Will you read the word of God? Will you trust the word of God? Will you believe the word of God?

Will you believe the blessings and the curses? Will you live to be a blessing and be blessed?

What will you do when the horsemen come? Will it matter if you see the black horses? white horses? dappled-gray horses? red horses?

Will you choose to receive Jesus before it is too late? Will you attach yourself to the branch which is Jesus rather than be pruned and tossed into the fire?

Realize the power in words and their impact on your life.

Will you think you are safe just because there is peace?

Why not turn to God and invite Him in and rather than peace that is temporary allow the peace that surpasses all understanding from God to guard your mind and your heart?

Let’s meditate on today’s Psalm:

‘Praise the Lord , who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me. O Lord , what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them? For they are like a breath of air; their days are like a passing shadow. Open the heavens, Lord , and come down. Touch the mountains so they billow smoke. Hurl your lightning bolts and scatter your enemies! Shoot your arrows and confuse them! Reach down from heaven and rescue me; rescue me from deep waters, from the power of my enemies. Their mouths are full of lies; they swear to tell the truth, but they lie instead. I will sing a new song to you, O God! I will sing your praises with a ten-stringed harp. For you grant victory to kings! You rescued your servant David from the fatal sword. Save me! Rescue me from the power of my enemies. Their mouths are full of lies; they swear to tell the truth, but they lie instead. May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace. May our barns be filled with crops of every kind. May the flocks in our fields multiply by the thousands, even tens of thousands, and may our oxen be loaded down with produce. May there be no enemy breaking through our walls, no going into captivity, no cries of alarm in our town squares. Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord .’

Psalms 144:1-15

So where are you at today? My hope and prayer is that You will ask Jesus into your heart so that I will get to spend eternity in God’s presence with you. Are you ready for forgiveness and peace? Are you ready for a hope and a future? Are you ready for a transformation where the old is gone and the new has come? Are you ready to being the journey of knowing right from wrong? Let’s pray:

What do you do when you don’t know what to do?

Do what you know how to do!

You are at a crossroads and need to make a decision, what do you do?

You are at a decision point in your life and need to decide, what do you do?

You are hearing about the state of the world and need to decide where you stand, what do you do?

You are hearing about wars and rumors of wars, you are hearing about natural disasters including floods and fires, what do you think it means, what do you do?

You are hearing about the threat of the end of the world, what do you do?

Who do you believe? What do you believe? Where does your hope come from? Where does you help come from? Where will you turn? Where can you turn? How will you decide? How will you know real from fake? How will you know true from false? What do you do? How do you know?

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. What do I do? I turn to God and pray. I trust in Him with all my heart. I lean not on my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge Him. Worry changes nothing but prayer changes everything. I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. I ask, I seek, and I knock.

How about you? Don’t be deceived! Don’t get mixed up or confused between the world’s way and God’s way!

What do you do when you don’t know what to do?

Turn to God’s Words for answers, for me I choose a devotional at the beginning of the year (or whenever I finish the previous reading) which brings me through the Bible and allow God to speak to me throughout the year through His Word because He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, nothing comes as a surprise and so He is able to speak to me right where I am at with and through His Word found in the Bible. My current reading is coming from Read the Bible for Life 4 + 1 Plan. I pray so that the Holy Spirit can point me in the right direction and cover me with a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 305 of 312)

  • Nehemiah 12
  • Zechariah 3
  • Zechariah 4
  • Acts 26:12-23
  • Revelation 19:11-21
  • Psalms 143

Can you never get too far away to be able to turn back to God. You may have gone on your long journey away or apart from God. Why not turn back to God today?

Will you try to rush things or are you willing to work through it at a normal pace? Are you willing to wait upon the Lord and allow Him to renew your strength? Are you willing to wait upon the Lord and listen to what He has to say?

Will you start with purifying yourself before you start trying to go around and purifying others?

Will you use the tools and instruments God has given you to use to accomplish His will and His purpose?

Will you give thanks? Will you be generous in your life?

Will you choose to listen and trust God’s Word which is true and desires that you have life and life more abundantly rather than the lies and deception of the devil who is trying to rob, kill and destroy you?

We can trust in God because it is not by force nor by strength but by the Spirit of God that all things are possible. In God’s power nothing can stand against it.

Will you speak to what God has done in and through your life when people ask of you?

Will you tell or speak or testify to what God has done in and through you?

We need to turn back to God and ask for forgiveness for the things we have done wrong.

‘I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God—and prove they have changed by the good things they do. ‘

Acts of the Apostles 26:20

Are you ready for the return of Jesus as He comes from heaven for the final battle? Will do decide before it is too late to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

‘Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords. Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to the vultures flying high in the sky: “Come! Gather together for the great banquet God has prepared. Come and eat the flesh of kings, generals, and strong warriors; of horses and their riders; and of all humanity, both free and slave, small and great.” Then I saw the beast and the kings of the world and their armies gathered together to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army. And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Their entire army was killed by the sharp sword that came from the mouth of the one riding the white horse. And the vultures all gorged themselves on the dead bodies.’

Revelation 19:11-21

Will you choose to spend eternity with God? Will you choose to spend eternity apart from God with the devil?

Ask God who will hear your prayer and is faithful.

Don’t lose hope or paralyzed by fear because of the darkness around you. Turn to God and don’t be stuck in depression but instead start to do God’s will and for His glory forgive others and pursue God and His righteousness.

If you are still questioning or seeking, don’t go it alone, feel free to leave me a comment so we can discuss it.

Let’s pray:

Is today the day?

Is today going to be a great day? Is today going to be an important day? Is today going to be a fun day? Is today going to be a happy day? Is today going to be a surprising day? Is today going to be a shocking day? What type of day is today going to be? Do you have any say about it? Do you have any control over it? Do you have any plans for it? Do you have any strategies for it?

Do you realize that the earth is the Lords and everything in it? Do you realize that every good and perfect gift from God? Do you realize that your plans need to be aligned with God’s will? Do you realize that you need wisdom from God to help you through today? Do you realize that without God in the plan we work in vain? Do you realize that your plan is only as good as the foundation you build it upon?

Do you have plans and are hoping today will be the day? Do you have something scheduled and so you are hoping today will be the day? Do you have concerns with what is going on and are hoping today will be the day? Do you have a feeling and are hoping that today will be the day? What is it going to take to make today the day? We already know that this is the day that the Lord has made and that we are to rejoice and be glad in it!

Is today the first day? The day you choose to invite Jesus into your life?

Is today the last day? The day you will meet your maker?

Is today the day that starts the next stage? The day when the trumpet will sound and the people of God will be called into His presence?

Is today the day that you will decide where you want to spend eternity? Will it be with God in Heaven? Will it be apart from God in hell? The choice is yours.

What will you do if today is the day? How will you respond if today is the day? How will you know if today is the day? What would it take for you to know if today is the day?

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow never arrives. So make today count as it is the present for you.

What day is it? One thing is for sure it is TODAY! Will you choose for it to be Happy Today?

There a lot of opinions being put into your head, which will you choose to listen to?
Who will you let decide?

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

(Day 304 of 312)

Who will decide? Who will sign-off on it? Who will be accountable? Who will lead the way? Will you decide for yourself?

Will you be present today? Will you not just go through the motions but instead live out today with purpose?

What if in November there is a call to return to God? Would you turn from your own way and turn back to Him?

What if today was the day that the riders who are patrolling the earth? What if you are still here when the trials and tribulation begin?

How will you know the difference between right and wrong? Do you have a measuring stick that helps you decide? Do you have a scale that helps you decide? Do you have a source to know the difference?

Are you ready to give an answer for the hope that is within you? Are you ready to give an answer for the things believe in? Are you ready to give an answer when other start to accuse you?

Are you ready for the celebration? Are you ready for the wedding? Are you ready to be a part of it? Are you ready to be blessed? Are you prepared for when the invite comes?

Cry out to God! Give your cares to God because God cares for you!

Let’s pray:

What would you miss most if everyone you knew was gone?

What if you woke up and everyone you cared about was gone? What if you woke up and everyone in your neighborhood was gone? What if you woke up and everyone in your community was gone? What if you woke up and most of the people you knew were gone? What would you do? How would you understand? How would you respond? How would you process the situation?

What if you figured out that they were part of the rapture and had gone to heaven to be with God? What if you figured out that they were part of a global phenomenon where people who were true Christians had vanished? What if incredible disasters or accidents happened because the people who had been controlling things were gone? What if you could see their stuff but they were gone? What if instead of it being you woke up that it happened in the middle of the day?

Nobody knows the time when Jesus will return, we just know that He will. Nobody know the day or the hour when Jesus will come back for those who have decided to receive the gift of eternal life. We know that God so loves the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever would believe on Him would not perish but have everlasting life. We know that God didn’t send Jesus to condemn the world but that through Him the world would be saved. We know that God’s hope is that nobody would perish but all would come to salvation through Jesus Christ. God’s not slow to pronounce judgment but is patient and hoping that everyone will come to repentance. But we are free to choose. We are free to decide what we will receive. We are free to choose if we will accept the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ or not. We are free to choose if we will spend eternity with God or apart from God.

Have you made your decision? Have you chosen your side? Have you decided the bed you will lie in? What if you are left behind? Will that cause you to draw closer to God or start looking deeper into the things of God? Will it draw you closer to God or will you continue as though nothing happened? Will you become curious about the things of God or will you just think it is an anomaly and keep on with your life? What if the other events of the book of Revelation happen? Is there anything that will make you change your mind? What if you realize that you knew about Jesus but didn’t know Jesus in a relational way and become part of the remnant? Would it cause you to refocus your life? Would it cause you to point others to God? What if things got harder with trials and tribulations? What if there was persecution of those who believed in Jesus? Can you withstand the peer pressure and societal pressure and keep on keeping on pursuing Jesus and His ways? Will you decide before it is too late? There is a Y in the road and you have to make a choice which way you will go.

Are you going to stay on the narrow road to the gates of heaven and find your life? Are you going to go with the flow and stay on the broad road and lose your life to eternity apart from God? The decision is yours to make. I pray that you will choose life for I hope to get to meet you in Heaven. Heaven is for Real!

Today’s reading from God’s Word: (Day 303 of 312)

Why not turn back to God and confess your sins asking God for forgiveness? Why not forgive all those who have trespassed against you?

Why not give God all the praise, the honor, and the glory He so deserves?

Let’s not forget what God has done! Let’s not turn away but let’s turn back to God before it is too late.

God is merciful so don’t think you are too far for God to receive you back. Turn back to God and go to Him, your Heavenly Father like the lost son did.

Obedience is better than offerings, so we need to walk in obedience to God.

Let’s be strong and courageous! Even if you are but a remnant!

It isn’t all about what we do but it is all about our faith!

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works so that nobody can boast!

So we aren’t saved by works but by faith. Now allow our faith to be alive and our works be because of our faith rather than out of our attempt to earn salvation! Faith without works is dead.

Just because of threats and attacks, don’t fear man but trust in God! Be it like Daniel and the lions den or Daniel and the others who were thrown into the fiery furnace, put your trust in God in walking out your life in obedience.

God’s judgments are true and just and He will avenge the murder of his servants!

Let’s call on the Lord! Let’s allow our lives to be living sacrifices that are found to be pleasing to God!

If you are looking for somewhere to turn, look to God for help!

Let’s pray:

How would you respond if people vanished?

What do you think about if a bunch of people around the world on day vanished? What would do think about the situations and the responses to the people around them? What do you think about the chaos that would arise from it? What do you think about the people left behind? What do you think about the evidence left behind?

What would you think if you were left behind? What would you think if you were somewhere an some portion of the people around you just vanished? What would you think if you were sleeping and when you woke up the news was reporting on people having disappeared around the world?

Do you have any knowledge of something like this? Do you know where to turn if something like this happened? Do you think you could find hope to survive what is yet to come? Do you know what it will take to survive and find eternity with a happy ending? Is there anything you can do? Is there anything you could do? Is there anything you should do? Where do you want to end up?

My recent readings have been including readings from the book of Revelation. My daughter’s friend as I drove them to the bus shared how when they heard a trumpet while visiting my older daughter’s school for an event felt the rapture was coming. My recent viewing of the television shows Flash and Arrow are speaking of a time where they would have to sacrifice their lives or else others would die or disappear based on the visualizations they have been showing. The more I hear and the more I see, the more I realize I need to surface the theme and the idea beyond just listing the readings for the day. I feel like I need to go back to the beginning and share how this blog began in order to hopefully help others come to the truth and the realization in order to have more people be part of the disappearing and fewer needing to live through the tribulation in order to make it to heaven and definitely so that as few as possible won’t have to spend eternity in hell – the fiery pit with the devil and his fiends where there will be the gnashing of teach and the weeping for the rest of eternity. I feel like I have to share how each year as I read through the Bible and get to the point where God chooses to put in the reading of Revelation, it continues to feel like it is getting closer and closer.

How it began:

Back in 2005, the release of Windows Live Spaces happened and I considered starting a blog. As I was getting started to create a blog to share private pictures so that my extended family would be able to see family pictures, I felt God say “you need to make it public”. I questioned that and said “if I have to make it public then I need to change what I will post” and so I questioned “what will I post then?” God’s response was an interesting one and one that has kept this blog going ever since when He said “what you write about every morning”. Wow, every year I had been choosing different reading plans to get through the Bible in a year and had be praying and meditating and in cases taking notes of what I was hearing, learning, and receiving. Then the question went from what to right about to what to call it since a family blog was easy – just use the family name – and now I needed to come up with something. That morning of the first post as I did my morning reading where would I happen to be but in the book of Revelation. The thoughts going through my mind were about eternity and where would people end up. The thoughts going through my mind were about those who would disappear from this earth in order to be with Jesus in Heaven for eternity. The thoughts going through my mind were about the people who got left behind, the remnant. The thoughts going through my mind were about how many of the remnant would be able to survive through the tribulation and choosing to receive Jesus in the midst of the pain and the suffering and the trials and the tribulation and get to be a part of the second wave when it would be so much harder to make that choice and live through it with the global government’s rules and regulations. So as I went to start my first post in 2005 so the blog name came to be – From2005ToEternity which started as a spaces.live.com site but as it closed down was migrated to a wordpress.com site. It was the start of a new year and during a window where our church tends to do a week of prayer and fasting starting off a new year. This blog has opened up doors to speak life and chat with people through the comments and even build relationships and save lives. God had a plan and I am still writing because He isn’t done with me yet.

And so the journey continues, each time I finish reading through the Bible – sometimes it take a bit less than a year and others a bit longer, I look for a new way to read through the Bible. I have tried different versions – King James, New King James, Amplified, NIV, NLT, the Message and more. I have tried different formats like the Chronological Bible which helps bring the various readings from the Bible together based on historical timelines. I have tried it by themes or plans. Most recently I have continued to select annual plans using the plans available through bible.com site which provides not only for online web access but also has a Bible app that allows me to tag things even when it isn’t part of my devotional but possibly a sermon or a message God speaks through the Holy Spirit during another part of my life.

A little over a month ago, WordPress.com sent me a message congratulating me on 9 years of blogging since that migration took place.

What’s going on in your life? Have you received Jesus into your life yet? I know it took me till I was 30-31 before I got the memo that it wasn’t about going to church to be saved. It wasn’t about going through rituals or routines or legalism to be saved. The aha was that it was about having a relationship with Jesus and inviting Him into your heart and living out life together. It is about being sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and having conversations like “what do you mean you want me to make my blog public” or “help me find a good parking spot” or “what do you mean you want me to step up into such a huge role as president of a homeowners association of over 10,000 people which seems almost like being mayor” or “why God did we have to lose those babies” or “thank you God for such an incredible gift” or “God I feel connected to Philip the evangelist and he had 4 daughters who were prophetess, if I am going to have 4 daughters, I am ok with that but if I am going to have a son can you please let me know” and be willing to wait upon the Lord and be sensitive enough that when in that morning’s reading the story of the promise of Isaac comes up to be able to receive it and change the boy name you had for a baby from Benjamin to Isaac because you receive the promise of a son, a son who is now 12 and I am blessed with 2 girls and a son named Isaac. Another example was as I read the book “Heaven is for Real” when it hit me that I have 4 daughters and 2 of them are already with God in Heaven and I have two with me here on earth. When the story of the son talking to his mother about having met his sister in heaven, God spoke to my heart that He is taking care of 2 of them who won’t have to deal with the troubles or trials of life on earth but spend eternity with God which I look forward to one day along with reuniting my family together up there.

Let’s jump into today’s reading (day 302 of 312) – feel free to use your preferred Bible reading system and read along or find the plan that works for you.

Today’s reading from God’s Word:

Do you know where to go to learn about God? Start with His Word found in the Bible. (https://bible.com)

Do you know where to go to learn about the Bible? Look for a bible believing, bible preaching church that is about what the Word says not about the ways or thoughts of man.

Don’t stay where you are, choose to rebuild your life on the foundation of Jesus Christ and using Him as the cornerstone to allow your life to be aligned with God’s will and plan.

Be a part of those who will start a revival by being obedient to God’s call.

Let God spark enthusiasm with you and the desire to do His work.

Let the truth set you free. Don’t allow lies or threats keep you from all God has in store.

When you are left behind there will be weeping and mourning.

How will you prioritize your life so that things that matter and will last forever will be your top priority?

What is the worth of money if you can’t use it or it has no value?

What is the worth of precious metals or things if there is no one to share or use it on?

Invest in things that will last like faith, hope and love. Love is the greatest of them and we are to first love God and then love people!

Invest in things that are eternal like the people God has brought into your life so that you can point them back to God and they too may be saved.

Take hold of God’s way and ask Him to rescue you and protect you.

Take hold of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to be your comforter and your guide.

Take hold of Jesus and ask Him to save you so that you can spend eternity with Him with joy and worship.

Let’s pray:

What do you do with new beginnings?

How do you handle the change? How do you prepare to start over? How do you close out the finish of the previous in order to move forward with the new?

As I ask all these questions, I think of the verse from 2 Corinthians 5:17 which says:

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

2 Corinthians 5:17

Be it a change in your physical, emotional, or spiritual life, how will you get started? Will you turn to the manual for life? Will you turn to God? Will you ask Jesus? Will you ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and direction? Will you ask the Holy Spirit for peace and comfort through the transition? Will you be rejuvenated and excited as you step up and step into this new season?

Today’s reading from God’s Word comes to use from:

  • Nehemiah 7:5-73
  • Ezekiel 47:13-23
  • Ezekiel 48
  • Acts 24:10-27
  • Revelation 18:1-10
  • Psalms 139

Will you answer the call God puts on your life? Will you pursue the idea He gives you?

Consider the instructions He gives you to accomplish this task. Even if it seems larger than you are able, trust Him. Learn from experiences like the moments when I was given the options of doing what God said or be nothing and receive the call.

Receive what God has for you and what He has prepared in advance for you.

He has gone before us preparing in advance the good works He has for us to do.

He goes before us preparing a room in heaven for all of us who choose to receive the gift of grace through Jesus Christ.

Be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is within you.

Be prepared to give an answer for the hope you have.

Be prepared to give an answer for the joy that is in you.

Submit to the authority put over you.

Serve others with the authority you have been given so as to be a servant leader following Jesus’s example.

Don’t be tempted into committing sin, resist the devil and He will flee.

God knows, so you can find rest in Him. Pursue Him and His will for you.
