Let’s get back to the beginning and grab a hold of what God said:
‘Now the Lord God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.” ‘
Genesis 2:18
God showed us how we need one another as He created a suitable and complementary helper for each of us! God tells us that we are to come together as one body, in unity, supporting one another! Jesus gave us a command:
‘I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” ‘
John 13:34-35
So today, as we prepare for the good works God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish, let’s choose to trust God and lean in on Him rather than our own understanding, acknowledging Him so that He can not only make our path straight but show us the way to go!
So we are never alone because God is with us!
As we prepare for today, make sure to stay connected both to God and to one another! Let’s grab hold of God’s Word and God’s promises:
‘Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude ‘
Psalms 68:19
For 2023 I am returning to the pattern of reading through the Bible in a Year and as such will use it as my source for the upcoming year of BeTheDads.com devotionals.
Did you read something today that felt like a new revelation? Would you be willing to leave a comment or question? Are you walking your life with God? Have you made the decision to invite Jesus into your life so that you can have the divide covered? Have you invited Jesus to be Your Lord and Savior, paying the ultimate price to cover the original sin for we have all missed the mark, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and we all need Jesus, our Lord and Savior to help us be forgiven and reconciled back to God! Could today be your day? Let’s pray:
