THRIVE: How will you choose to make the most of your today?

It’s today, the day that the Lord has made, so let’s make the most of it, rejoicing and being glad in it!

It’s Labor Day weekend and so today is an extra day off, how will you choose to use it for your good and God’s glory?

It’s today, do you have a routine to stick to that will help you make the most of your today?

Did you get a good night’s rest in order to ensure you are prepared to make the most of your today?

Did you get started praying, studying, meditating on God’s Word, and planning for today?

Are you considering how to live today as healthy as possible?

Are you finding ways to start the day in a positive way?

Are you someone who needs a to-do list in order to make the most of your day?

Are you starting your day with high hopes, setting the bar high so that even if you don’t accomplish it all you still will have made the most of your day?

Are you starting your day with a plan and goals in order to have direction and make the most of your today?

Are you setting up a time for yourself, time with God, time with your spouse, time with your kids, or other priorities to help make the most of your today?

Are you someone who is good at taking breaks and delegating so that you can make the most of your today?

Are you able to balance the need to be flexible along with the need to stick to a routine? I know when I do camps those two things are very important and key to success and similarly in our lives to make the most of our days, we need to have a routine set and then be flexible to handle adjustments if and when necessary!

Are you someone who smiles to make the most of your day, knowing that it helps with your mood, lowers stress, makes you more attractive, builds confidence, it spreads as it is contagious to those around you, and helps you be more creative?

Do you spend time in God’s Word, even just getting the verse of the day so that you can be encouraged?

Do you exercise in order to help your body remain healthy and to help make the most of your day?

Do you make sure to share your love with those around you? Your spouse? Your kids? Your neighbors? Your coworkers?

Do you reflect on your day, all God was able to do in and through you, the to-dos that become to-dones?

How will you choose to make the most of your today, today?

Scripture of the Day:

‘ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. [Jer. 6:16.]’

Matthew 11:28-29 (YouVersion – Verse of the Day)

‘ Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,’

Colossians 3:23 (Spirit 105.3 – Verse of the Day)

Prayer Of Salvation
"Oh Father God, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus died on the cross for my sake and has risen from the dead. Lord, I receive Your Word and I repent of my sins. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen."
