Is there a source you can turn to read and know it is trustworthy? Is there a source you can turn to and hear the truth and trust it? Is there a source you can turn to and not question its integrity?
Is there someone you can turn to and know they are trustworthy? Is there someone you can turn to hear the truth and trust it? Is there someone you can turn to and not question their integrity?
As I consider this in today’s world of wishy-washy reports. As I consider this in today’s news where corrections don’t get the same visibility as the inaccurate report. As I consider this in today’s conversations where opinions and ideas vary because of the various sources of information (trustworthy or not, accurate or not, factual or not). I turn to the one place I know I can trust, God’s Word! I turn to the one person who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, God! I will trust God rather than my own understanding, acknowledging Him in all I do, seeking Him and His will, because I know that He will show me which path to take! How about you?
Where do you get your source of truth? Do you have to go multiple places, get the varying perspectives and versions of what people want you to believe is the truth, and mix them together to get some version of the truth? Do you have a source that gives you the facts and then lets you figure it out? Do you have a source that you go to that gives you the facts and their opinion of the truth? Do you read the news section or the editorial section? Which do you trust more? Do you watch one of the thousands of tv stations in hopes of getting a glimmer of hope or truth? Do you watch tv to escape and hence avoid watching any show that would produce or provide spin?
To thrive, where does your hope come from? To thrive, where does your help come from? To thrive, where does your truth come from? To thrive, where do you go? To thrive, where do you turn? To thrive, how do you decide?
Are you reviewing your sources and finding that it just produces anxiety and worry? Are you reviewing your sources and finding that it just produces fear and hate?
Turn to God and receive His Word which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path! Turn to God and receive His plan for you which is for good and not for evil, to give you hope and a future! Turn to God and receive His purpose for you, to give you a life that you can live to the full! Turn to God and cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you! Turn to God and pray so that you can live without anxiety because you know that through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving we can make our requests known to God!
Let’s grab hold of the reality that the TRUTH will set us free!
