What are you focusing on today and how is that impacting your life? Are you focusing on the waves of life rather than keeping your eyes on God, causing you to fear or even sink? Are you focusing on the storms of life rather than keeping your eyes on God, causing you to fear and get tossed around? Are you focusing on God and finding peace in the midst of the storms? Are you focusing on God and being able to keep walking with God in the midst of the waves?
There are so many times in life we glance at God and gaze on things we shouldn’t be looking at. There are so many times when rather than glance and look away from temptation we gaze at it and get led into temptation. So today let’s choose to gaze on God so that we don’t get led into temptations! Let’s choose to gaze on God so that we can walk out of life in His peace no matter if he removes the problem or helps us walk through it! Let’s choose to keep our eyes on God and when Jesus calls us out of the boat we are able to walk on water in His strength and His peace with faith! Let’s choose to walk and talk with Jesus through it all! Let’s pray without ceasing!
‘But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. ‘Matthew 14:27-32
‘You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. ‘Isaiah 26:3-4
Verse of the Day: 1 Thessalonians 5:17
‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. ‘1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
