THRIVE: When you finish strong you get rewarded!

As we come to the week’s close, we ought to be living to finish strong! Yesterday was an incredible awards ceremony where I witnessed my daughter receive awards and scholarships. She has been finishing strong and has been going strong since she started high school, choosing to switch from homeschooling to public high school in order to get to be a part of more activities. It was great to see how well her class did with so many getting such high grades across their high school careers even though they had to deal with the challenges that came with the COVID years.

As we come to the week’s close, my goal is to finish strong! There is always so much to get done and realistically it may not be possible to get it all done today but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try to get as much done as possible in order to finish strong and glorify God by working as unto the Lord!

‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. ‘

Colossians 3:23-24

So let’s “Understand that this is God’s story…not ours.” Let’s remember and grab hold of the reality that “God has a plan for us…regardless of our environment.” Let’s choose to live up to God’s calling and “Don’t bring ourselves down to the level of others.” Let’s choose to “Focus on how we can bless others around us.” Let’s “Talk to God.” Let’s finish strong! Let’s choose to thrive for the glory of God!

‘The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. ‘

Romans 8:6

Prayer Of Salvation
"Oh Father God, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus died on the cross for my sake and has risen from the dead. Lord, I receive Your Word and I repent of my sins. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen."
