After a long weekend it’s time to get back to it. It’s time to get it done! It’s time to finish the month strong! So let’s get ready and come with a plan. Let’s use our time wisely living to glorify God by getting the good works He has prepared in advance for us to do done! Let’s get ready! Let’s be ready! Let’s be prepared! Let’s plan! Let’s execute on the plan! Let’s choose to thrive today for the glory of God!
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner. ‘
So are you ready? Are you willing? Are you able? Will you prepare? Will you plan? Will you love? Invite Jesus into your heart to help you on your journey today! Invite Jesus into your life to help you navigate and know what it is you must do! Invite Jesus into your life and allow the Holy Spirit to provide you with wisdom and discernment! We each get a choice, a decision to make, and need to make it for ourselves! Could today be your day?

Do you know anyone who was in the military? Do you know anyone who is in the military? Do you know anyone who lost their lives serving in the military?
Let’s make sure that we appreciate them today! Let’s consider how we can let them know how much we appreciate their service! Let’s consider what we can do for the families who have lost loved ones or who have loved ones serving today!
Let’s consider how we can use today to thrive for the glory of God!
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. ‘
Where are you today? How are you going to use your day? Will you remember those who gave? Will you invite Jesus into your heart? Will you invite Jesus into your life to help you navigate it? Will you invite Jesus into your life to help know who and how to influence others?
If you pray today’s prayer with me feel free to let me know so I can pray with you and for you too. (If you don’t feel comfortable leaving a comment then you can always try email.
Are you ready to be the person who is meek, living life humbly with strength? Are you ready to be the person who is hungering and thrusting for righteousness with truth and justice? Are you ready to be the person who shows and gives mercy and grace by showing compassion and kindness without judgment by giving forgiveness and being peacemakers? Are you ready to be salt and light and make a difference?
‘ “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. ‘
So let’s stay salty! Let’s keep shining our lights!
‘Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. ‘
‘When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ‘
‘Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. ‘
‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. ‘
Are you ready to spice up the lives of others? Are you ready to shine in the lives of others? Are you needing some spiciness? Are you needing some light? Invite Jesus into your heart to help spice you up! Invite Jesus into your heart to help you shine! Allow Jesus into your life so that you can be salt and life wherever you go!

Will you get through some of your todo list? Will you make the connections that need to happen? Will you spend time with your loved ones? Will you make a list of things you need to or want to do or get done? What will things look like as your kids grow up? What will you things like in 5 years, 10years, and beyond? Is there anything you wanted to do that haven’t yet? Is there anything your wife wants to do that we haven’t done yet? If we want to thrive for the glory of God we have to be prepared!
So, how about talking about it and capturing a list and then making a plan?
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘ “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ‘
So are you ready to make a decision today that will help you thrive? Are you ready to make a decision today that will transform your future? Are you ready to make a decision today that will ensure the best? Invite Jesus in to help you prepare and be prepared! Invite Jesus in to your heart to be transformed from the inside out! Invite Jesus into your life so that you can accomplish all the good works God has prepared in advance for you to accomplish!

Another incredible week getting to be and work with some incredible people. Be it the new intern on my team, be it the new people who joined the company, be it the founders and leaders, be it the various departments, it is a blessing to get to work with and bless them all. To get to experience my daughter signing her letter of intent to play soccer at a school that God is using to redeem her collegiate soccer career. To get to see the joy of my son getting the new computer associated with a high school project. To get to hear how my oldest is doing well and continuing to pass and do well in her role. To get to spend time with my wife and experience it all together for nearly 25 years. God is good! I am here and if you are reading this, so are you and so today we need to step up and step into what God has for us because He isn’t done with us yet! Let’s get it done! Let’s complete the good works God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish! Let’s decide not to coast to the finish of the week but rather to finish strong for the glory of God!
Let’s go and get it done for the glory of God because Jesus is sending us!
TODAY’S WORD OF THE DAY:
‘Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” ‘
What are you believing about yourself? Is it trying to keep you from finishing the week strong? Renew your mind! Invite Jesus into your heart! Allow Jesus to renew your mind with the truth! Invite Jesus into your very situation so that He may meet you right where you are at and help you walk through it! Don’t go it alone! Finish the week strong!

Happy Friday-eve everyone! That’s right, tomorrow is Friday, can you believe it? Or is the week going slow for you? When I look at the kids in school, the seniors are finding things are going super fast. When I look at the younger kids, the feedback varies. Either way, most kids have less than a couple of weeks of school remaining for the year. With the work world and probably depending on what’s going on in various companies, the speed of time may seem or feel different. For some, they are in a waiting pattern that seems to be taking forever. For others, there is so much to do that time just flies. For others, the days are super long and exhausting. Wow, how time flies!
Can you believe how fast your kids have and are growing up? Can you believe how fast the years of marriage have gone by? Can you believe how fast time seems to be going?
Where are you focusing? Are you stuck in the past and so missing out on the present? Are you focusing on the future and missing out on the present? Are you making the most of your today because you have learned from the past and know that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed? Where are you focusing? Is that impacting your perception of time? and the speed at which time is going?
Ever considered what the Bible has to say about time? I found this list:
Time is but another dimension of this life we live. We have length, width, height, and time, and who knows how many others. So let’s choose to use what we have today to the best of our ability, being good stewards so that one day we will get to hear “well done, good and faithful servant“.
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘ “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. ‘
Are you ready? How is your time? Are you making time? Are you prioritizing and taking time for the right things? Are you using your influence for good? Are you feeling your heart is troubled? Are you finding obstacles in your way? Are you running into stumbling blocks? Invite Jesus into your heart! Invite Jesus into your situation! Ask Him for wisdom and discernment! Ask Him for help and direction!

Can you believe we are there already? We’ve made it to the day many call humpday. The day people think is the obstacle or bump in the road to the weekend. To thrive based on the definition means we continue to grow vigorously, to flourish, to prosper no matter what situation we are facing – in spite of them or because of them. So a bump in the road shouldn’t stop us from thriving for the glory of God! Let’s make sure our priorities are right! Let’s avoid the obstacles that will prevent us from accomplishing the good works God has prepared in advance for us to accomplish! Let’s decide today what is important, what God has prepared for us to do, and go and get it done! Let’s be the mentor and manager we need to be! Let’s get the details hammered out and planned out! Let’s get the plans rolling! Let’s do it in a way that is helpful, not harmful! Let’s do it in a way that builds up rather than tears down!
This is the day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it! Let’s live out the priorities God has given us! God first! Wife/Spouse second! Kids/Family third! everything else comes after this and so we need to live our lives in a way to honor this!
Is there anything getting in the way of completing what God has prepared? Do you know what to do or how to get through it, over it, or around it? Ask God for wisdom and discernment to help you! Ask the Holy Spirit to give you direction and instruction to get it done! Be bold and courageous and step up and step out to finish the good works God prepared in advance for you to accomplish today!
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. ‘
As we talk about obstacles a word that comes to mind is things that cause us to stumble. As I was grabbing today’s verse of the day the next topic spoke to our discussion for today and so before continuing I wanted to reflect on what it tells us about how to live our lives.
‘ “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. ‘
So what are you facing today? What is being asked of you? Are there obstacles you need to overcome? Are there asks of you? Invite Jesus into your heart to help you process it! Invite Jesus into your life to help you be an overcomer by going over, around, or through the obstacles that come your way! Invite Jesus into your situation so that you can be bold and courageous enough to finish the good works prepared in advance for you to accomplish!

As we start today I consider how today is the beginning of a mentoring adventure for the summer. I am excited about the opportunity and experience this will provide and produce. It makes me consider who has mentored me over the years and how it has impacted me and my life. I remember looking for and evaluating people who looked like they could be mentors and then discovering we were connected, then discovering how God did have a plan, and yet it wasn’t a mentoring relationship plan. Even stepping out to join a smaller company and having a great manager and mentor has been and continues to be an incredible experience. When I consider the Timothy side I am so grateful for the time I have had with a friend and mentor Paul who was and is my Paul. As today begins and the journey into mentorship begins, I am excited for the opportunity and the potential that is in front of me starting today.
VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. ‘
Are you ready to see a need and fill it? Are you ready to step up and mentor someone? Are you ready to be humble enough to be mentored? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart to help? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life to lead and guide you?

It’s Monday already, where has the time gone. After a weekend of excitement and travel, it’s time to prepare for a new work week. An exciting new week is kicking off with some great opportunities to collaborate with partner teams, onboard a college intern, and continue to work on helping move the product development, features, and requirements forward. Every week there is something exciting to make each week a great week with great managers, peers, and partners. Oh, what a week we will have!
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ‘
Are you ready for today? Are you ready to spur others on today? Are you ready to encourage others today? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your situation? Are you ready to ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment to help you? Are you ready to make today great?

So you will have about 8 hours going back and forth in your car on a trip today. How will you make the most of your time? How will you steward your time in order to get the most out of it? Yes, part of the time you know it is early and there will be sleeping and even if it is all the way one way you still get 4 hours. How will you make that time count? What will you do? What can you do? How will you do?
Will you use it to listen? Will you use it to hear? Will you use it to impart? Will you use it to help? Will you use it to encourage? Will you use it to motivate? Will you use it to love?
Each day we will get time driving with our families, some days longer and other days shorter, the key is we get to choose how we will spend it and if we will use it to the max. Will you use it to learn, listen, speak, and love? Will you lose it by playing games on your phone, texting, or watching movies? How will you choose to make the most out of your limited time? We each have a choice! We each get to decide! So, how will you make the most of your time?
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. ‘
Ready to make the most of your time today? Wondering how to make the most of your time today? Looking for a way to make the most of your time today? Invite Jesus into your heart! Invite Jesus into your life! Invite Jesus into your situation! Ask Him for wisdom and discernment into how you can make the most of your time! Listen and pursue it!

As I reflect on the last 18+ years and how the time is fast approaching with events like senior proms and last club soccer games the reality of a new beginning is surfacing. As the second of three approaches the time of leaving the nest the incredible times when they were all younger start flashing through my mind. Be it the incredible life of my oldest to the incredible life of my middle to the incredible life of my youngest, God has blessed me beyond measure. When I consider how God moved us, God called us, and God has been blessing us I am in awe. When you read scripture verses like:
‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.’
God is so good! God is so faithful! The blessings have been so great that they are overflowing as my kids grow up and step out into the world. To see God working and shaping them. To see God calling and sending them. To see God’s hand upon them in all they do. To see the character and integrity. To see the boldness and courageousness. God is worth trusting! God is worth testing when He offers it up to you! God is with asking when you need wisdom and discernment!
Do you trust God? Do you believe His Word is true? Do you want to be like the dad in the story when Jesus asked if he believed?
‘When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him. “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked. A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.” ‘
Do you want to experience a miracle? It takes believing! Even if your faith is small and new, faith the size of a mustard seed can make things happen!
‘When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” ‘
So today, even as we see a phase coming to a close let’s hold tight to God and trust Him to be with and go with them as the next phase of the journey begins. Let’s choose to live for the glory of God and thrive!
TODAY’S VERSE OF THE DAY:
‘Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.’
Are you ready for today? This is the day that the Lord has made so will you rejoice and be glad in it? Are you ready? Are you believing? Are you trusting? Are you moving? Will you invite Jesus into your heart today to help you? Will you invite Jesus into your life and situation to help you?

Another work week is drawing to a close and so we need to finish strong! How do you view the days of the week? For me, each day is Happy Today! Each day is a day that the Lord has made and so we should rejoice and be glad in it! I have some friends who view Friday as a better day and so they sometimes call it Fri-yay instead of Friday. I like using -eve when you get past lunch hour to indicate tomorrow and one of my friends liked Fridays so much they were able to make every day a derivative of Friday by having Thurs = Friday-eve, Wed = Friday-eve-eve, Tues = Friday-eve-eve-eve, Monday = Friday-eve-eve-eve-eve. How about you are you able to go into every day with a Happy Today mentality?
Let’s grab hold of the reality that:
‘The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. ‘
‘ “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.’
So no matter what day today is for you, let’s grab hold of God’s plans, purposes, and will for it and make it a Happy Today, being glad and rejoicing in it!
Let’s choose to thrive for the glory of God!
Today’s Verse of the Day:
‘And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. ‘
Are you ready for a Happy Today? Are you ready to make the most of your day? Are you ready to allow every day to be a Happy Today? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life? Are you ready to allow Jesus to help you release the past and live in the present without worrying about the future?

Do the weeks seem to fly by for you as quickly as they feel they fly by for me? Yesterday is gone and that was mid-week and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and that is the end of the week. As today began the words that came to me were focus and finish strong. As I go into today and look to prepare to live out this day for the glory of God the key will be to focus. So when I step up to my desk I will want and need to emphasize, give emphasis to, stress, put/lay stress on, highlight, accentuate, accent, call/draw attention to, focus (attention) on, zero in on, spotlight, throw into relief, give prominence to, bring to the fore, foreground, bring home, point up, play up, make a feature of the work I have before me. I will need to avoid distractions and look for ways to make forward progress, pressing towards the goal!
‘Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.’
So today as I focus and as things change some more, making time to workout and get back into fitness will be an important focus. With Dusti roaming instead of being downstairs, I won’t need to use that as an excuse anymore for not going downstairs. As I realize today and prepare for today, my goal and focus are to move forward for the glory of God and thrive! My goal is to become stronger and more focused so that I can finish this race strong! My focus is to reach my goal weight while at the same time building endurance and strength! And today it has come to me that I must focus and finish strong to be able to thrive for the glory of God!
Verse of the Day:
‘“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”’
Today’s verse of the day causes me to reflect back to 2005 when this journey to blog began. It reminds me of when God called me to write a blog and make it public. It reminds me of when God called me to write a public blog based on my morning devotional. It reminds me of how real and how close Jesus’ return felt as I was reading through Revelation and how much closer eternity was feeling. It reminds me of how each year as I read through the Bible and got to Revelation it felt like it has gotten closer and closer and closer. Even this year I have changed things up answering the call to start the “Be The Dads” movement and am going thru and writing a blog there too based on devotionals about and for dads, God continues to speak in me, to me, and through me to those who would read and visit the sites. So today as an act of worship, I continue to write because God is worthy to receive the glory and honor and power, forever and ever, Amen!
Are you focused? Are you devoted? Are you finishing strong? Are you focusing on doing good? Are you devoting your time, money, and efforts to doing good? Are you inviting Jesus into your heart and your life to help you stay focused? Are you inviting the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you so that you are focused and devoted to the right things? Will you choose to finish strong and accomplish God’s purpose, plans, and will for your life?

So it’s the middle of the week and what do you think about that? Do you view it as the bump that you have to get over? Do you view it as the day when the climb finishes and that it is all downhill from there? Do you view it as a launch ramp to help you get through the rest of the week strong? Do you view it as something that slows you down or speeds you up? What’s your perspective on midweek?
Is midweek a pit stop to help you get through the rest of the week? Is midweek a charging zone to refresh and renew yourself to finish the week strong? Is midweek a barrier you need to get through or over on your way to the weekend? How do you view yourself today?
If you were to draw today on a piece of paper, what would it say about your perspective? What would it say about your perspective when you looked at your drawing? Would it give your view of things the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other? Would it say about your attitude toward or way of regarding it? What would it say about your view and thoughts about it?
Are you setting yourself up today to be able to walk through today with the right perspective? Are you preparing yourself so that you can walk through today with the right perspective? Are you filling your head and your heart with the right things so that you have the right perspective? Are you walking with Jesus in order to ensure you Have His perspective? How will you respond or adapt if you realize you have the wrong perspective? How will you allow your perspective to adjust to the realities in order to THRIVE? How will you allow your perspective to be in order to thrive by living for the glory of God? Will you choose to look at life and your today with the perspective of living and thriving for the glory of God in order to live without regret? Will you choose to look at life and your today with the perspective of living and thriving for the glory of God avoiding the pitfalls of living a worldly life and discovering it wasn’t worth it?
Verse of the Day:
‘Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. ‘
So where are you today? How are you looking at life? How are you looking at things? How are you looking at others? Are you needing an adjustment in your perspective? Will you invite Jesus into your life and allow Him to help give you the right perspective? Will you invite Jesus into your situation and allow Him to help give you a clearer understanding? Will you invite Jesus into your heart in order to be transformed and renewed?

As the week continues do you have a lot more questions than you do answers? Do you have a lot of questions even though you have many answers? Is it because of the reality that the more you know the more you know you don’t know? When you ask a question are you doing it with the right heart? Are you asking to learn or to put the other person on the spot? Are you asking and then listening to understand or do you ask and start to come up with your next question? Are you asking questions in a way that can be understood and helpful? Are you asking questions in a way that will help you better learn from the answer and understand? Are you asking questions in a way that is worded or expressed so as to elicit information? Are you asking questions in a way that is for the purpose inquiry and query? Are you asking questions that are more along the lines of doing an interrogation or examination? Check your heart before you ask so that you are asking with good intentions! Check your heart so that you can ensure you ask it for the right purpose! Are you ready to ask questions today to help you learn and understand better in order to be able to help, move forward, and thrive?

Are you ready to listen? Are you ready to learn? Are you ready to trust? Are you ready to forgive? Are you ready to heal? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life? Are you ready to be transformed? Are you ready to share the load? Are you ready to give up the weight?

Imagine getting to put on training for the staff that will be putting on a camp for teenage foster kids and getting feedback from new and returning staff that it was great. Imagine getting to be a part of a leadership appreciation time during services and then getting selected to be on the board for the church that was so powerful and emotional. With all of that in the past two days imagine what God will be able to do today! With all that momentum imagine how far we can go in one day as we kick off the week! With all that moment and considering getting to plan this week for a new employee, a college intern joining the team in addition to all the incredible innovation and creativity we will get to be a part of today and into the future! Imagine having someone say that God is going to bless the company you are working at because you were obedient to step up and answer the call and that it would continue to grow moving forward too!
This is the day that the Lord has made, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it! Let’s be good stewards of the gifts, talents, and time God has given us today so that when people see it others will glorify our Heavenly Father above!
Let’s get a hold of the reality and meaning of THRIVE and what that looks like and our role in it!
Today’s Verse of the Day:
‘Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. ‘
Included verse 2 as it speaks to the reason, the “because” behind why there is no condemnation once we have received Jesus into our hearts and lives as Lord and Savior!
What a day to hear God’s love being spoken into, over, and through me. Where are you today? Are you feeling held back, held down, or held up? Are you ready to find a break, some strength, some hope, or some support? Why not invite Jesus into the situation and allow Him to lead and guide you? Why not invite Jesus into your heart and allow Him to transform you from the inside out? Why not allow today to be the beginning of an incredible journey?

What does that mean to you? What does that mean for you? What will you do with it? What will you do for it? How will you spend yours? How will you use yours?
‘“ ‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord . ‘
‘Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. ‘
‘“Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do. ‘
‘“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord ’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, then you will find your joy in the Lord , and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” The mouth of the Lord has spoken.’
‘I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.” ‘
‘One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?” He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”’
‘On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing. ‘
‘Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. ‘
‘There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. ‘
So back to our original questions as we head into Sunday morning. What does that mean to you? What does that mean for you? What will you do with it? What will you do for it? How will you spend yours? How will you use yours?
This is the day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it! Let’s make the most of our today so that in all we think, say, and do, we are good stewards of our time sot hat we can give all the praise, the honor, and the glory to God in Jesus’ name!
Today’s Verse of the Day:
‘For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. ‘
Are you ready to lead with love? Are you ready to receive the love? Are you ready to invite God into your life? Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart? Are you ready to overflow wth the spring of living water that will allow you to pour out love that never runs dry? How will you choose to live today? What will this sabbath mean to you? Could today be the beginning of your relationship with Jesus?

Praying for training this weekend as we prepare for camps. Praying for the team. Praying for the campers. Praying for the campground. Looking to accomplish all that God has planned and prepared for this summer through our camps!
Today’s Verse of the Day:
‘ “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ‘
Don’t be overwhelmed by worry and fear but instead overwhelm them with love and hope and faith from God! Let’s invite Jesus into our hearts to clean it out and fill it to love till it overflows! Let’s invite Jesus into our hearts so that there won’t be room for lies, fear, worry, bitterness, anger, etc but only for love, hope, faith, and grace! Let’s allow Jesus into our lives today so that we can live it out in a way that will bring God the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name! Let’s allow Jesus to transform us into people who are more like Him! Let’s be people who are moved and guided, instructed and correct by the Holy Spirit! Let’s be the people who decide to be different and raise the bar!
