Looking ahead requires that we have light to see where we are going…

As today begins and a new stage of life is about to begin, my hope and trust are in God as He takes my oldest into a new world. He is taking her into a new and exciting adventure where she will get to be trained and led to be able to save lives. With her background and degree in Pastor Ministries along with all the leadership and life experiences of mission trips and getting to be a representative on the church’s missions board, God is setting her up to be right where He needs her to be to change lives and glorify Him. So I decide today to lean in on God both for my oldest as well as for my wife and other kids. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness! Today will be an emotional day and yet I am so proud of her and excited for all God is going to do in and through her. 2022 is just the beginning of what is yet to come!

Verse of the Day:

‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. ‘

Psalms 119:105

Are you ready for 2022 and how God is about to do something new? Would you consider fasting and prayer over the first week of the year to help you draw closer to Him and receive His wisdom and direction for what is yet to come? Are you ready to walk out this year in His light? Are you ready to walk out this year within the beam of His lamp? Are you ready to be a part of something new?

Today’s post from Be The Dads is: Day 2 – Loving Your Family the Way God Loves You

So are you ready for the light? Are you in need of the light like Paul formerly known as Saul did? Are you aware that you need the light and are you ready to step into it? Could today be the start of something incredible?

Let’s pray:

Dear God
I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness; I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place paying the penalty for my sins. I am willing right now to turn from my sin and accept Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord. I commit myself to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me and take control, and help me become the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you Father for loving me. In Jesus' name.
Amen

As we step into our today, let’s pray:

THE LORD'S PRAYER

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us . And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.
