Who said that?

Did you hear that thought come into your head? Did you feel how that made you respond or react? Did you notice where it came from?

When the thought that you can’t comes to mind, where does that come from? Let’s take that thought captive and take hold of what God says about it!

Ever heard about all things are possible for those who believe?

…22“It often throws him into the fire or into the water, trying to kill him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23“If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!” 24Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”

Ever heard about how all things are possible but not all things are beneficial?

22Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? 23“Everything is permissible,” but noteverything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is edifying.24No one should seek his own good, but the good of others.…

— 1 Corinthians 10:23

So if you are hearing the message that you can’t, where is that coming from? Is it something that is beneficial or harmful? Is it something that is helpful or something is hurtful? Just because you can doesn’t mean that you should!

The devil is trying to plant seeds of worry and fear. The devil is trying to plant seeds of destruction and death. The devil is trying to plant seeds in order to control and manipulate you. BUT he doesn’t have the last word! Will you believe and trust God or the devil?

43Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message. 44You belong to yourfather, the devil, and you want to carry outhis desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth,because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, becausehe is a liar and the father of lies. 45But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!

Imagine if the devil even tried to use a close friend to be able to stop you from completing the work God sent you to do? How would you respond? Would you reject the devil’s direction like Jesus did with Peter?

²²Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, LORD!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” ²³Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Are you able to distinguish between your thoughts, the devil’s thoughts, and God’s thoughts?

We need to put our focus on Jesus and take every thought captive so that we can have the wisdom and discernment needed to know what to do and how to respond!

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, [thoughtfully and attentively] consider the Apostle and High Priest whom we confessed [as ours when we accepted Him as Savior], namely, Jesus;

— Hebrews 3:1

So let’s turn to God and allow Him to lead us and guide us! Let’s invite Jesus into our hearts so that the Holy Spirit can help us know the truth!

Heavenly Father
I come to you in prayer asking for the
forgiveness of my Sins. I confess with my
mouth and believe with my heart that
Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven.
and have Eternal Life in the Kingdom of
Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose
from the dead and I ask you right now to
come in to my life and be my personal
Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and
will Worship you all the day’s of my Life!
Because your word is truth, I confess with
my mouth that I am Born Again and
Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus
Name, Amen
