Ever heard the word “You take what the enemy meant for evil and you use it for good”? God is the God of second chances. God is the God of breakthrough. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine. He can take what is looking daunting before you and turn it around. Whether it is like a Joseph moment where you get betrayed, deceived, or forgotten, when we keep trusting and believing that God has a purpose in and through it, He is able to get us through it so that His will and purpose are accomplished and so we are able to not only give Him the glory but also the praise and the honor. If you hav a David moment where you are being attacked, pursued, chased and need to find safety by hiding or running, when we put our trust in God and look to do what is right in His eyes, we are able to see and experience the turn around and breakthrough in such an incredible way that we can bring and give God the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’s name.
We have the benefit of coming after Jesus. We have the opportunity to believe in Him and receive Him as our Lord and Savior. We have the opportunity of having the Holy Spirit lead and guide us, correct and instruct us in this world with the confidence that we are going to get to spend eternity with God thanks to what Jesus’s has already done. God’s Word tell us that “And he who believes in (has faith in, clings to, relies on) the Son has (now possesses) eternal life. But whoever disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath of God abides on him. [God’s displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs over him continually.] [Hab. 2:4.]”— John 3:36 AMPC
So did you miss the mark? Seek reconciliation and forgiveness. Apologize, ok to be a peacemaker. No matter if it was an accident, look to make things right. Look to bring honor where honor is due. Do the right thing even if it isn’t easy. Trust God to help you turn things around and open the floodgates of heaven. Allow God to turn it around so that by faith you will get to see a victory.
The 49 week challenge – Day 176
With May in the rear view mirror, let’s share our takeaways from today’s reading! Did you catch and promises to trust? Did you catch any commands to obey? Did you catch any truths to embrace? Did you catch any warnings to heed? Did you catch any encouragement to rest in? What did you learn about God? What did you learn about yourself? What did you learn about the world? What verse stood out most to you today?

- There is but one God. Who will you worship? Who will you trust?
- As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
As day 176 of 2020 begins, I would hate to miss giving the opportunity to anyone who hasn’t received Jesus into their lives as their Lord and Savior an opportunity to make the decision this early into 2020 and the blessing to get to live out the rest of 2020 in that power and that truth and that hope.
If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, why not join me in this prayer?
Did you pray with me? Would you be willing to leave me a comment so that I can pray with and for you about such an incredible decision? Or if you don’t feel comfortable leaving a comment on my blog, why not email or text me instead?
