Love of Jesus

Are you willing to have an intimate relationship with Jesus?

Do you love to spend time with Jesus? Do you make time to spend with Jesus? Do you invite Him into every situation? Do invite Him everywhere you go? Do you take time to hear from Him? Do you respond to His prompting and direction? Do you seek and respond to His wisdom? Do you turn to Him for wisdom and discernment when you have decisions to make? Do you trust Him for the little decisions and needs? Do you trust Him for the big decisions and needs?

Do you have a level of security because of the love of God? Do you have a level of comfort because of the love of God? Do you feel stability within an unstable world thanks to the love of God?

Let’s take hold of the love that God has for us!

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

–from John 3:16

We are loved like children of our Abba Father God and adopted into the family of God when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior…

12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

–from Romans 8

Our relationship with God even goes the intimacy of a marriage where Jesus is the groom and the church is His bride.

I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

–from 2 Corinthians 11:2

So will you make the effort it takes to show how much you know and love Jesus? Will you make the effort to build the relationship between you and Jesus? So will you live in a way that boast of Jesus? Will you love as Jesus loves you? Will you live a life that allows you to walk out each day with Jesus? Will you hear Him and obey Him? Will you seek Him and find Him with all of your heart, mind, and strength? This is the day that the Lord has made, so let’s rejoice and be glad in it! Will you celebrate with those who celebrate? Will you weep with those who are weeping? Will you be Jesus’ arms extended to the world around you? Will you share the message Jesus gives you to deliver? Listen closely to the voice of the Holy Spirit and walk out the life Jesus has planned for you! Let the world know the love of God!
