How are you living out the anointing?

Have you asked Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior?

If no, is today your day?

If yes, do you realize what has taken place and how you have been anointed? Thanks to Jesus being anointed isn’t just for a few people now but is available to all of us. The anointing of the Holy Spirit gives us power over sin, temptation, and evil. The anointing of the Holy Spirit gives us access to God in prayer and worship. The anointing of the Holy Spirit enables us to proclaim God’s message of the good news of Jesus to other people. The anointing of the Holy Spirit enables us to stand firm for Christ!

In our reading for today, we learn how the Holy Spirit enables us, commissions us, and has identified us as God’s while at the same time allowing using to live with Him on earth with the guaranteed promise of what is yet to come when we will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

21 It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, 22 and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us. –from 2 Corinthians 1

The Holy Spirit working in and through us will help us in the troubles and the trials so that in the end we will be complete and lacking nothing! He is with us! So we don’t have to be wandering around on our own! We don’t need to be doing everything in our own strength! We now have the opportunity to experience God’s parental love in and through our lives! We now have the opportunity to experience God’s promises and plan for our lives! We now have the opportunity to experience and share the love of God through the anointing of the Holy Spirit on us and in us!

So back to the first question and if you said no, will you invite Jesus into your heart today and begin the journey of receiving the Holy Spirit who will help you through this thing we call life? Once you ask and receive then you are saved! Don’t walk away from God like the lost son story and have to deal with the pains and sorrows of this rough world apart from God but rather stick with God and allow Him to work in and through you in each and every situation you face. In this world we will face troubles, but we can take heart because we know that Jesus has overcome the world! So if you are ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior now, here is a simple prayer you can say. If you would like to discuss this further, please leave me a comment as I am happy to discuss and walk this out with you. (Ever heard of the Roman road to salvation?)
