What will you do when you have good news within you? Will you express it? Will you share it? Will you show it? Will you talk about it? Will you tell people about it? What will you do?
What if the good news you have to share is so big it could become good news for others? Would that change how you respond to the good news? Would you try to hide it? Would you try to tone it down? Would you ramp it up? Would you dance and shout? Would you run around and tell the world? Would you tell those closest to you first? Would you just tell everyone?
So what have you done? I am sure you have had good news at some point in your life. How did you respond? How was it received? What if you knew it was just the news someone needed to turn things around in their own lives? Will you share it? Is there anything that can hold it back?
What if you get sent to share the Good News? What if you are called to share the Good News? Will you allow your faith to make you go? Will you allow your faith to answer the call?
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” –from Romans 10:15
So what will you do today with the Good News?
Go tell it on the mountain, fear not, believe and allow your faith to shine to the world God has put around you…
6 But faith’s way of getting right with God says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven?’ (to bring Christ down to earth). 7 And don’t say, ‘Who will go down to the place of the dead?’ (to bring Christ back to life again).”8 In fact, it says,
“The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”
And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[e] 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
