Wisdom…

Got Wisdom?

Do you realize the value of wisdom? Do you realize the value of wisdom over money? Do you realize the value of wisdom over possessions? Do you realize the value of wisdom over power? Do you realize the value of wisdom over honor? Do you realize the value of wisdom over revenge? Do you realize the value of wisdom over a long life? Do you realize the value of wisdom over all things?

Solomon did when he was offered anything and chose wisdom…

10“Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of Yours?” 11God said to Solomon, “Because you had this in mind, and did not ask for riches, wealth or honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor have you even asked for long life, but you have asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may rule My people over whom I have made you king, 12wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed nor those who will come after you.”

–from 2 Chronicles 1

Are you humble enough to submit to God and ask for wisdom? Are you willing to submit yourself to God that you may gain wisdom from Him? Are you willing to seek God first and His righteousness over everything that the world has to offer?

32For the pagans pursue all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33Butseek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

–from Matthew 6

Don’t be robbed of wisdom by worry! Don’t be robbed of God’s love by fear! Don’t allow the dreams and the passions of God to be taken from you thru lies and deception! Trust in God! Humbly submit yourself to Him and ask for wisdom!

Knowledge you can read from a book, you can learn from a speaker or mentor, but wisdom comes from God! Wisdom requires divine interaction from God above! We need to start, build, and grow our relationship with God for wisdom to be infused into our lives and given to us on a regular basis! Don’t go it alone! Don’t miss out on all God desires and has planned for you! Seek Him first! Don’t turn to the left or the right , go after Him and invite Him into your heart! Ask Jesus into your life and allow Him to help lead you and guide you all the days of your life! Receive wisdom! Live a life that will glorify God! Grab a hold of such a legacy and pass it along to those coming after you!

Make it about more than just you! Share God with others! That is what God put into my life back in 2005 when He spoke that I was to blog and make the blog public for all the world to see! It isn’t and wasn’t my plan, but I chose to be obedient and have been blogging ever since. It started in the book of Revelation and hence the name of my blog “From 2005 to Eternity” where I will spend now and forever with God thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

True wisdom comes from and through God! Will you point others to God as your source of wisdom in your everyday life?

How to Become Wise … Day 88: Bible In One Year 2017

Devotional, Proverbs 8:12-21, Luke 7:36-50, Numbers 26:12-65, Numbers 27:1-11

1. Seek wisdom from God … Proverbs 8:12-21

18With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. 19My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.

Wisdom comes from God

13To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

Wisdom is pure and beautiful

20I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

–from James 3:17

Wisdom helps you lead well

15By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; 16by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule on earth.

Wisdom is available to you

17I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. –from James 1:5

2. See people with wise eyes … Luke 7:36-50

39When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him. –from Luke 2:40

43Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”

47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

38As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

50Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. –from Galatians 5:6

3. Show wisdom in practical decisions … Numbers 26:12-27:11

54To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one; each is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those listed.

64Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai. 65For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

1The daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They came forward 2and stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders and the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said, 3“Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died for his own sin and left no sons. 4Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”
5So Moses brought their case before the Lord, 6and the Lord said to him, 7“What Zelophehad’s daughters are saying is right. You must certainly give them property as an inheritance among their father’s relatives and give their father’s inheritance to them.
8“Say to the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, give his inheritance to his daughter. 9If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers. 10If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. 11If his father had no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it. This is to have the force of law for the Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.’ ”
