You are valued! God is faithful!

Ever found that the world can chew you up and spit you out? Ever found that one day you seem to have value and the next it seems like you don’t? Ever wondered what’s the point? Ever asked why is this happening?

Don’t lose hope and don’t give up! Press on and put your trust in God! Put Him first and pursue after His plans for your life! God’s Word tells us that we have value and are important to God…

29“Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31“So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. –from Matthew 10

He doesn’t want us to walk in fear or doubt! He wants us to walk in hope and trust in Him because He cares for us! He doesn’t want us to carry the load of anxiety and worry, His Word puts it this way…

6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. –from 1 Peter 5

So no matter what comes your way today, do not lose hope! No matter what comes your way, do not fear!  matter what comes your way, press on! No matter what comes your way, turn to God! Ask Him for wisdom! Ask Him for discernment! For He is faithful and His love endures forever! Consider Jesus who knew the day and the hour and the plan and the purpose! He didn’t lose hope! He overcame! As we start this day, if we face troubles of any kind, let’s consider them pure joy! As we start this day, we may have troubles, but take heart for Jesus has overcome the world and has told us that in this world we will have troubles!

Today’s reading comes from Leviticus 27, Psalms 136, and John 17.

So let’s meditate on today’s Psalm…

When I saw the title I looked up “chesed” and found it means: “the attribute of grace, benevolence, or compassion, especially (in Kabbalism) as one of the sephiroth.”

His Chesed Endures Forever!

1Praise Adonai, for He is good, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
2Praise the God of gods, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
3Praise the Lord of lords, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
4who alone did great wonders, for His lovingkindness endures forever
5who made the heavens by wisdom, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
6who spread the earth on the waters, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
7who made great lights, for His lovingkindness endures forever
8the sun to rule by day, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
9the moon and stars to rule by night, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
10who struck Egypt in their firstborn, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
11and led out Israel from among them, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
12with a strong hand and outstretched arm, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
13who cut the Sea of Reeds into parts, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
14and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
15but hurled Pharaoh and his army into the Sea of Reeds, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
16who led His people through the desert, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
17who struck down great kings, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
18and slew mighty kings, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
19Sihon, king of the Amorites, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
20and Og, king of Bashan, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
21and gave their land for an inheritance, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
22an inheritance for Israel His servant, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
23He remembered us in our lowly estate, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
24and separated between us and He delivered us from our adversaries, for His lovingkindness endures forever,
25who gives food to all flesh, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
26Praise the God of heaven, for His lovingkindness endures forever!

–from Psalms 136

So did you catch how long it will last? His lovingkindness endures forever!

Let’s take a look at Jesus through John 17…How does He position Himself to glorify the Father? How does He pray for His disciples? How does He pray for the rest of us?

The Son Glorifies the Father

1Yeshua spoke these things; then, lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so the Son may glorify You. 2Even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, so may He give eternal life to all those You have given Him. 3And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Yeshua the Messiah, the One You sent. 4I glorified You on earth by finishing the work that You have given Me to do. 5Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world came to be.”

Yeshua Prays for His Disciples

6“I have made Your name known to the men of this world that You gave Me. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You. 8The words, which You gave Me, I have given to them. They received them and truly understood that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me. 9I ask on their behalf. Not on behalf of the world do I ask, but on behalf of those You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. 11I am no longer in the world; but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are. 12While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them, and not one of them was lost except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled. 13“But now I am coming to You. I say these words while I am still in the world, so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. 14I have given them Your word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world just as I am not of the world. 15I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17“Make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth. 18Just as You sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I make Myself holy, so that they also may be made holy in truth.”

Interceding for All Believers

20“I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe in Me through their message, 21that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me. 22The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one— 23I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me. 24“Father, I also want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory—the glory You gave Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25Righteous Father, the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me. 26I made your Name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

–from John 17
