Want to make your way prosperous?

Do you know the pattern to become successful? Do you know what success looks like? Do you want to be prosperous?  Today’s devotional completes with the following…

Today’s reading speaks into this as follows:

8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

–from Joshua 1:8

It all starts with getting into God’s Word! We need to study it! We need to read it! We need to apply it! We need to walk in obedience to it! We need to learn from it so that we don’t have to experience all of it on our own. I have always thought and said that it is better to learn from someone else’s mistakes than to have to make them all on your own.

We want to do well at work, so we keep learning right? we keep studying right? And similarly we need to do this with God’s Word!

We want to do well in school, so we kept studying and applying it right? So let’s keep studying God’s Word!

Reading it alone isn’t enough, we need to apply it too!

Listening to it alone isn’t enough, we need to apply it too!

Don’t chase after the wind, but chase after what is real and long standing! Purse God and His will for your life! Follow what is real, what is true!

Will you invest you time and effort into schemes or will you put them into something that will really works? Will you chase after what looks like success or will you pursue the one who can provide success? We need to invest our time into something is guaranteed to return success! Then we need to apply it in our lives!

As we read in today’s reading…(NLT version)

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

–from Joshua 1:8 (NLT)
