Are you needing clarity? Are you needing understanding? Are you needing instruction? Are you needing direction? Are you needing to get it, what’s going on or why is this going on?
Are you trying to go it alone? Are you turning to God in prayer and asking for discernment? Are you listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit who will speak into your life? Have you shared what is going on with others who can also pray with you and for you? Have you a mentor or a friend who is walking with you through these times and can speak hope and life or just walk with you through the highs and the lows of life?
Today’s Reading: Philippians 1:3-11
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. 8For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Do you see what Paul calls out? He wants us to live in love! He wants us to live in love with knowledge and discernment! He wants us to live in love so that we can approve what is excellent! He wants us to live in love sot hat we can be pure and blameless on the day Jesus comes back! So let’s fill ourselves up with the fruits of the spirit! Let’s fill ourselves up to the point of overflowing into the lives God puts around us! Let’s be filled with righteousness! Let’s live so that God gets the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name! Amen.
