Do you know Him? Will you do what He tells you?

Your will? God's will? You choose! Choose wisely!

Ever been in a place where you are asking God for something? What’s more important to you, to get your way or to do it His way? What if it were going to be hard? Would you submit to His will rather than your comfort? Would you be willing to give up your way for His way? Would you be able to pray, when you pray, that you’ll do His will over your own? Do you mean it?

Today’s Reading: Matthew 26:39

39And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

There is a difference between knowing God and being obedient to God!

18But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 20But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

–from James 2

Be ready! Be prepared! Be alert!

11“Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12“But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13“Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

–from Matthew 25

So where are you at today? How will you pray? Will you pray for God’s will? Will you follow through and do what He calls you to do? Be sensitive to the prompting of the Spirit today and be obedient to God’s calling and will in your life that He will receive the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
