None of us are perfect. None of us free from mistakes. But there is hope! Receive it! Share it!

Believe it! Receive it! Pass it on!

When we mess up there is hope, so we don’t have to beat ourselves down. When we miss it, we don’t have to walk away, but we can turn back towards. When we are feeling guilt and shame, there is an answer and there is a place to go to give it away. We can’t remove the guilt or the shame alone, but God is available and ready to forgive! We need to turn to Him! We need to receive the forgiveness! We need to receive the second chance! We should live in a way where we forgive others! We should live in alignment with God’s will and God’s way so that others can realize it isn’t about guilt and condemnation, but about hope, love, and second chances. As we know, no matter how big nor how far, nor how deep, nor how wide, Jesus made a way to close the gap or bridge the gap that we can return to God! So today’s let’s pray for a clean heart and a fresh start! Let’s pray that we can be like God into the world around us too and be able to receive and share God’s grace and mercy! Let’s pray for fresh starts in every situation so we and those who are feeling down and out can find freedom from the guilt and the shame through the love of God in every part of their and our own lives!

Today’s Reading: Psalm 51: 10-13

10Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
11Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
12Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
13Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.

Let’s mediate on these words! Let’s consider each statement! And let’s start this day out receiving God’s second chance and pursuing after Him and His will for today in our lives!

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

  • 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
    –from 2 Corinthians 5

Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.

  • But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence. –from 2 Kings 13

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

  • 8For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. –from Ephesians 2

Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.

  • 14But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED, 15but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; 16and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. –from 1 Peter 3

Let’s receive God’s truth that we can turn ourselves back to God and receive the second chances and follow after Him.

Then let’s pass on the good news! Let’s share the hope that is within us! Let’s allow others to know there is hope!
