Do you see all that has been done? Do you realize all that has gone wrong? Do you realize the path that has been taken? Do realize the decisions that were made? Do you realize the impact they have had? Do you realize how people have walked away from obedience? Do you notice how things have changed? Do you see that there are choices? Do you see that we each have to choose? We need to step up! We need to stand up! We need to stand in the gap for others! We need to stand in the gap and ask for forgiveness! We need to be difference makers! We need to turn to God’s love! We need to pray for God’s wisdom and mercy! We need God!
Today’s Reading: Daniel 9:3-5
3Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. 4I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.
God’s Word tells us that we will find Him when we seek Him with all of our heart, all of our mind, all of our strength, so let’s pursue Him like we mean it and like we need it, because we do!
29“But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. 30“When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice. –from Deuteronomy 4
12‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14‘I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’ –from Jeremiah 29
Let’s pray for forgiveness, asking God with sincere hearts to forgive us, forgive our parents and grandparents, forgive our nations and help lead us back into His presence and covering, wisdom and direction, protection and hope!
Let’s get real! We need God to pull His people who are called by His name together again so that we can stand in unity for what is right, what is true, what is love, what is hope, and share it with the world because everyone is needing it and everyone is missing out!
Let’s get real! Let’s help others to know that there is a God and that He cares for them! Let’s help others come to the realization that God is for them and not against them and help them to turn back to Him and to pursue after Him today!
It’s not all about you or me, it’s about God’s plan! And we get to play a part! Consider the place you are in right here, right now! God has put you in such a place on such a day for a purpose and on purpose! Consider Esther…
13Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. 14“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”–from Esther 4
For such a day and such a time as this, God has put you right where you are at on purpose for a purpose so that in and through You He can be glorified through what you say, what you do, and how you do it! Will you step up? Will you stand up? Will you step into everything God has for you? Will you pray for wisdom? Will you pray for others? Will you pray for forgiveness? Will you give forgiveness to others? You won’t lose your reward for having been obedient to God! You won’t lose out because you are willing to reach out and do what God is calling you to do!
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
–from Romans 14:8
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. –from Revelation 2:7
So what will you do today? Will you stand in the gap and pray for those around you? Will you stand in the gap and pray for your neighborhood? Will you stand in the gap and pray for your city or town? Will you stand in the gap and pray for your nation?
It’s a choice! Choose wisely!
