God can! God did! God will!

The great part about the Bible is that it is shows us that God can do infinitely more than we can or could ever ask or imagine! The great part about the Bible is that it shows us that God did step up and step in to the very situations of the people and keep His Word! The great part about the Bible is that it shows us that God will win in the end, God will never leave us nor abandon us when we have asked Him into our lives.

This morning’s reading from Psalms is awesome:

1-3God, you smiled on your good earth!

You brought good times back to Jacob!
You lifted the cloud of guilt from your people,
you put their sins far out of sight.
You took back your sin-provoked threats,
you cooled your hot, righteous anger.
4-7Help us again, God of our help;
don’t hold a grudge against us forever.
You aren’t going to keep this up, are you?
scowling and angry, year after year?
Why not help us make a fresh start—a resurrection life?
Then your people will laugh and sing!
Show us how much you love us, God!
Give us the salvation we need!
8-9I can’t wait to hear what he’ll say.
God’s about to pronounce his people well,
The holy people he loves so much,
so they’ll never again live like fools.
See how close his salvation is to those who fear him?
Our country is home base for Glory!
10-13Love and Truth meet in the street,
Right Living and Whole Living embrace and kiss!
Truth sprouts green from the ground,
Right Living pours down from the skies!
Oh yes! God gives Goodness and Beauty;
our land responds with Bounty and Blessing.
Right Living strides out before him,
and clears a path for his passage.
— Psalm 85
God has the power to forgive and remove all guilt from our lives!
God is our ever present help in times of need!
God is the God of the second chances, giving us the opportunity to a fresh start!
God the Father provides us a savior through Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to Him and spend eternity in the presence of God!
Let’s allow God and His Word to guide our steps and our path forward!

Are you doing what you were called to do?

Are you being fair? Are you standing up and defending the defenseless? Are you standing up for the powerless? Are you calling to account those who exploit them? Do you realize what is going on all around you when you don’t do what you’ve been called to do? Do you see or even realize how things are falling apart and becoming unglued because of it?

What have you been commissioned to do? What is your calling? What is your purpose?

Don’t betray trust, complete the work you were called to do? Otherwise, you will have to deal with the consequences of your actions or lack their of…

When you are called, God will grant you the wisdom and the courage to get it done. I remember being called and not being sure I was ready, I remember the excuses I came up with why I shouldn’t or couldn’t. The devil will use those to hold you back from accomplishing and becoming the incredible person God has created you to be. Once I gave it all up into God’s hands it was amazing what He was able to do. Once I got passed the excuses. Once I got passed the fear. Once I got passed the doubt. He was able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than I could have asked or imagined. When the situation got too big for me, I called on Him and He provided. He gave me wisdom to do the right thing. He gave me more wisdom than I could have asked for because had I not heard and obeyed, the issues that could have arisen would have been catastrophic. There was lying and deceiving taking place which had I not had God’s wisdom could have taken us down a path that would have gone really bad. If He calls you to it, He will bring you through it.

(if you want more details search for homeowners association on my blog to read more about all that happened.

Don’t miss out! Be quick to respond to God’s calling! Trust God and don’t allow anything to hold you back from His calling!  Go for it!

Don’t Despair…

There is a time that is coming where God is going to turn everything around for His people. He hears the cries of panic. He knows the peace has been shattered. Don’t give up! Don’t give in! Don’t lose hope! Keep your hope and trust in God! He will enter into the darkness and break the yoke from your neck, cut you loose from the harness. Let’s serve God! Don’t despair! Look up! He’ll save you out of the places you gone. He will bring back your children. Let’s draw near to God so that we will find life good, safe, and secure! He will be with us! He will save us!

God is a fair God! We will be disciplined and corrected! Any punishment is fair and just.

God won’t give up on you, so don’t give up on Him or yourself! Don’t lose hope!

Stick with God who won’t leave you because He will stick closer than a brother and isn’t like fair-weathered friends who skip out on you without giving you a second thought.

Ask God for forgiveness! Don’t walk around with guilt and an endless list of sins.

No pity parties!

God is just and He is the final judge! We aren’t to judge lest we be judged! As you judge so you will be judged — the same stick you used will be used to measure you. In the end, everyone will give account for what they have done to Him!

God wants to compassionately come and rebuild. He wants to restore and revive! He wants to make things better and better! No depression! Thriving! Flourishing! No contempt!

Let’s be a community of believers who come together in unity!

Let’s be a community of believers who live lives that will glorify God!

Lets be a community of believers who cross between denominations because there is but 1 church, 1 body, 1 family.

Let’s be a community of believers who allow the love and light of Jesus to shine on this world around us in a way that will transform our communities.

Let’s be a community of HIS PEOPLE so that HE will be our God!

When God is finished, IT IS FINISHED! Jesus finished it so that there is now a way to be reconciled back to God! One day He will return and end it. The final battle. A time of a new Heaven and a New Earth. A time when we will live in the presence of God forever. And a time where those who are separated from God will spend eternity apart from Him in the second death.

So let’s not wait, but invite Jesus into our hearts so that in all we think, say, and do, He will receive the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name.

God said that he would never quit loving us!

Expect love, love, and more love!

Allow Him in so that He can start over and build you up! He is the God of the second chances.

Let’s resume the time of celebration in our lives praising and worshiping God as living sacrifices in all that we do. Let’s shout for joy for all that He has done. Let’s shout for joy for who He is. Let’s worship and praise Him always.

Let’s follow after Him. Let’s allow Him to lead us to fresh flowing brooks along smooth, uncluttered paths.

Let’s pray for and stand with the people of Israel. Let’s bless them for they are God’s people!

Let’s live with God so that we will have more than enough each day.

He is our provider and He know our every need!

Now repent and turn back to God! It’s time to stop running loose. Let’s live lives that will glorify God! You know that longing in your heart? It’s a space that needs to be filled. And Jesus is the one who can fill it once and for all. Invite Him in and allow Him to pull your broken heart back together. Allow Him to clean house and fix the brokenness that is in there. Allow Him in so that He can restore and revive what was dead and gone.

Be ready! The time is coming!

We will all be accountable for our own decisions and actions. So let’s start now to live lives that are glorifying to Him!

Allow God’s law to be written on our hearts! LOVE! — Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all of your mind, all of your soul, and all of your strength! Love your neighbor as yourself!

Allow the blood of Jesus to be your covering! Choose and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and bridge that gap.

Prepare yourself for something special!

Get yourself ready to be used by God!

Nothing is impossible for God! Nothing is impossible with God! Impossible is just a reason not to try. All things are possible with God for those who believe!

Are you ready for signs and wonders? Are you ready to be used by God to reveal more? Are you ready to be an instrument for God?

The seek His face! Read His Word! And see where God will lead you and guide! The Bible is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. The path is narrow but it leads to life!

Take a look around… Don’t you believe there is some cleaning up to be done? It won’t be easy. It’s won’t be fun. But God’s ways are better than our ways. God’s ways are higher than our ways. So let’s do it His way.

Don’t give up! Trust in HIM!

Let’s take a hold of the truth of Psalm 24 as we close today’s posting.

1-2God claims Earth and everything in it,
God claims World and all who live on it.
He built it on Ocean foundations,
laid it out on River girders.
3-4Who can climb Mount God?
Who can scale the holy north-face?
Only the clean-handed,
only the pure-hearted;
Men who won’t cheat,
women who won’t seduce.
5-6God is at their side;
with God’s help they make it.
This, Jacob, is what happens
to God-seekers, God-questers.
7Wake up, you sleepyhead city!
Wake up, you sleepyhead people!
King-Glory is ready to enter.
8Who is this King-Glory?
God, armed
and battle-ready.
9Wake up, you sleepyhead city!
Wake up, you sleepyhead people!
King-Glory is ready to enter.
10Who is this King-Glory?
God-of-the-Angel-Armies:
he is King-Glory.

Focus…

Where are you focusing? What is getting in the way of you focusing? How do you know what to focus on? What does it take for you to focus? When do you find you focus? Who is your focus? Who allows you to focus? Where are you focused? Are you focused on near term or longer term? Are you focused inwardly or outwardly? Is your focus on the right thing? When it is, we realize there is no reason to fear! Are you focusing on the good that you have to be thankful for? Where are you focusing your energy? Words? Thoughts? Actions? Without the right focus, everything is blurry. Without the right focus, we waste our time and energy on things that aren’t worth it. What’s in the center of your life? Do you set aside time to focus? Do you realize that how and where you spend your time speaks to what is  your main focus? Do you worry can get in the way of being able to focus? So don’t worry!

What is in the center of your life?

Is money your main focus?

Is God your main focus?

I LOVE your main focus?

When will you look beyond the material stuff, the feel good stuff, and the self promoting stuff?

Don’t let anything get in the way of allowing you to focus on what’s most important. Nothing is too big for God!

Is FAMILY your main focus?

Do you have your priorities in the right order? Without putting first things first, it will be hard to focus!

What’s getting in the way of focusing on what’s most important? Are you lusting after the wrong things? Are you dealing with unhealthy cravings?

Today is a new day, so why not get aligned, get right, and start focusing and moving towards it!

1-2Hallelujah!
O my soul, praise God!
All my life long I’ll praise God,
singing songs to my God as long as I live.
3-9Don’t put your life in the hands of experts
who know nothing of life, of salvation life.
Mere humans don’t have what it takes;
when they die, their projects die with them.
Instead, get help from the God of Jacob,
put your hope in God and know real blessing!
God made sky and soil,
sea and all the fish in it.
He always does what he says—
he defends the wronged,
he feeds the hungry.
God frees prisoners—
he gives sight to the blind,
he lifts up the fallen.
God loves good people, protects strangers,
takes the side of orphans and widows,
but makes short work of the wicked.
10God’s in charge—always.
Zion’s God is God for good!
Hallelujah!
Psalm 146

Prepared in advance

These words bring two thoughts to mind:

  1. Be prepared in and out of season to give a reason for the hope that is in you
  2. God goes before us to prepare in advance the good work He plans for us to do

As I wake up today and look ahead I give this day into God’s hand knowing and trusting in Him.

Heavenly Father,
As I start this day I give it up to You. I ask Lord for Your wisdom and courage to be able to know what I need to do and say and for the courage to do and say it. I ask Lord that You go before me and my family and prepare in advance the good work You have for us to accomplish today for the glory of Your Kingdom. Help us Lord to be ready to explain the hope that is in us. I ask all this in Jesus’ name so that in and through it all You may receive the praise, the honor, and the glory. Amen.

1-2I can’t impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple.
3-5You’re going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food—catchy opinions that tickle their fancy. They’ll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you’re doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God’s servant.
 — from 2 Timothy4
7-10Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.
 — from Ephesians 2

There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
— from Philippians 1

Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.

14-16Do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night so I’ll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You’ll be living proof that I didn’t go to all this work for nothing.
 — from Philippians 2

1-2 Blessed be God, my mountain, who trains me to fight fair and well. He’s the bedrock on which I stand, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight, The high crag where I run for dear life, while he lays my enemies low.
3-4 I wonder why you care, God—why do you bother with us at all? All we are is a puff of air; we’re like shadows in a campfire.
5-8 Step down out of heaven, God; ignite volcanoes in the hearts of the mountains. Hurl your lightnings in every direction; shoot your arrows this way and that. Reach all the way from sky to sea: pull me out of the ocean of hate, out of the grip of those barbarians Who lie through their teeth, who shake your hand then knife you in the back.
9-10 O God, let me sing a new song to you, let me play it on a twelve-string guitar—A song to the God who saved the king, the God who rescued David, his servant.
11 Rescue me from the enemy sword, release me from the grip of those barbarians Who lie through their teeth, who shake your hand then knife you in the back.
12-14 Make our sons in their prime like sturdy oak trees, Our daughters as shapely and bright as fields of wildflowers. Fill our barns with great harvest, fill our fields with huge flocks; Protect us from invasion and exile—eliminate the crime in our streets.
15 How blessed the people who have all this! How blessed the people who have God for God!

— Psalm 144

Be ready for the devil is coming after you, so put on the full armor of God!
