When you think of your life or your work, do you have a thought something like this:
‘“But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose…” — Isaiah 49:4a
Where are you at in this journey? What is your hope? Is there anything that is encouraging you to stay or to go? Where do you find your purpose? Where do you get your strength?
Are you stuck in a rut or in a situation where the stuff you are working on is boring or seems to have no purpose? Don’t stay there! Don’t stay stuck! Follow Isaiah’s example. Hold onto the truth of the situation!
“…Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” — Isaiah 49:4b
But Isaiah continues…
5And now the Lord speaks—the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him. The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength. 6He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.” 7The Lord, the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, says to the one who is despised and rejected by the nations, to the one who is the servant of rulers: “Kings will stand at attention when you pass by. Princes will also bow low because of the Lord, the faithful one, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.” — Isaiah 49:5-7
24God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. — 1 Thessalonians 5:24
7“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.9“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. — Matthew 7:7-11
5If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. —

I thank You Lord for this new day and for everything that is within it. I praise You Lord for the incredible journey and the miraculous signs you have performed in and through my life. Lord, as I start this day I look to You and see Your wisdom for each step of my day. I praise You for Your healing touch over my family as You have healed both girls’ hands quickly and allowed them to start recovery earlier. Lord, there are so many things I am thankful for and most of all for the opportunity back around Christmas 2000 to connect and learn the truth about life being about having a relationship with You. As I start this day Lord, I ask that You help me so that every thought, word, and action I take will bring You praise, honor, and glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
