God never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me.

Can you actually say:

“I am not jealous of anyone else or envious of what others have.
If God gave it to them, then I want them to enjoy it"

Are you content
with what you have?

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have"

Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

If tested against this verse, how would you do?

Have you ever been in a situation where God has brought someone in front of you who has exactly what you want? How do you respond? Do you think “I wish I could have …” or " do you think “that is awesome, if God can do it for them, He can do it for me too” or do you think “it’s not fair, how come they get it but I don’t?” or do you think “I am happy for you because you are blessed”?

There are many responses we can have and seeing or hearing the response lets God know where we stand
and if we can pass this test.

We have to be content with what we have and where we are. We have to be able to celebrate God’s blessings of others without trying to make it all about us. We need to remember that God’s love will never fail. He will never give up on us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

When we ask God for something and He hasn’t given it to you yet, rest assured that He is not holding out on you. There is a bigger purpose with a greater reward. Let’s make sure in our asks today that they aren’t out of jealousy or greed. Let’s make sure that He is our top priority. Let’s put God and His kingdom first. Let’s make sure that we are asking in alignment with His Word. Let’s seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness for He knows what we are in need of and He knows the desires of our hearts.

“God wants us to prosper in every way. He wants people to see His goodness and how well He takes care of us. But we must desire God more than we desire His blessings.”

Desiring God More Than His Blessings

5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you.I will never abandon you.”

Hebrews 13:5

Prayer Starter: (from today’s devotional)

God, I want You to show me the areas of my life where I’ve given in to jealousy and covetousness, and help me rearrange my priorities. I want to desire You more than Your blessings.

Heavenly Father,
I thank You Lord for this new day and for all that is within it. I praise You Lord for the incredible blessings and opportunities and anointing have you placed on me and over my family. Lord as we start this busy day I lift it up to You. I lift it up that You may provide good weather for this day and tournament. I pray that You will provide safe travel to and back. I pray Lord that You will use this day to bring the right person to buy our home. Lord, I thank You for having the perfect timing and how You orchestrate the right places, the right people, in the right time. As we prepare for another incredible evening of vision and faith, I pray that You will multiply the number of people who attend to fill Your house. I pray that lives will be encouraged, strengthened and directed throughout this week. Lord, I look to You in the busyness of life to be my rock and my fortress, to my guide and counselor, to be my hope and joy and praise You before You are. So Lord as I prepare for this day and look to Your Word, may all I think, say, and do bring You all the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fearful to Fearless

Keep your promise to me, your servant—the promise you make to those who obey you. Save me from the insults I fear; how wonderful are your judgments! I want to obey your commands; give me new life, for you are righteous.

Psalm 119:38-40 (GNT)

Biblical Truth

The criticism we receive from man cannot compare to the judgment of the Lord, but it can harm our Christian witness and reputation. We pray that God would use the contempt of men for the sake of His witness and give us the desire to know Him more.
