Walk with the Spirit as your guide and counselor.

Feeling frustrated?
Have you stopped relying on God? God has given us the Holy Spirit and His grace to help us walk through anything that comes our way. Frustration his when we stop depending on Him and try to do it all our way.

When we feel frustrated let’s stop, consider, and refocus:

• Stop and reflect on how are we trying to take the place of the Holy Spirit
• Stop and consider how and why are we struggling with an independent spirit
• Stop and refocus on God and putting our dependence on Him
• Let’s not make it all about us and doing it in our own strength, but depending on God
• Depending on God is the key to the victory we need every day of our lives
• When God saved us that wasn’t the end of His help
• He saved us forever, so when we depend on Him, He will guide us and help us
• It isn’t about conquering the our human desires, but to resist them and not gratify them by staying in the Spirit
• Don’t go it alone. Don’t try to do it as an independent, but rather rely on the Holy Spirit and see how God will help you daily.

God, You are all I need. Help me not to trust in myself, but to put my trust in You and to rely only on You.

Heavenly Father,

I thank You so much Lord for this new year and for Your Word that You have planted in my heart. I thank You Lord for Your Word spoken to me daily to guide and direct me, to encourage and enlighten me, and to speak love and life into my day as it begins. Lord, You are my strength and I put all my hope in You. As I look towards this day Lord I lift up my family time today, I lift up Your Word that will be preached, and I lift up the desire to relocate (sell our house and buy a new one). Lord, I know that You know the desires of our heart. I know You have a plan for us and that You will lead me and guide me to the place where You can help us to be blessed and a blessing to others. Help us Lord as we search the place we are desiring. Help me Lord to be the servant of God, the husband, the father, the friend, the co-worker, and the person You desire me to be. Help me to walk in a way that glorifies You. Help me to be someone who makes a difference in a way that directs people towards You. May in this day You receive all the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    • In God’s Word we see two categories of people whose names are called out – those who did what pleased God and those didn’t.
  • How do you want to be remembered in the book of life?
  • Be careful and live in obedience to the Lord and see what God can and will do in and through you
• Isaiah 9
• There is a messiah, there is a savior, and his name is Jesus. He came that we would have life and life to the full.

6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor,t Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.7 His government and its peace

• Turn back to God before it is too late and you need to deal with the circumstances – the judgment.

• Realize that the World is the Lords and everything that is within it. He knows the beginning from the end.
• Don’t under estimate the Lord or take the credit that is truly His.
• A tool isn’t any better than those who are using it, so don’t brag or boast.
• Give the glory to God, the battle is His.
• There is always hope for those who put their trust in God.
• Through Jesus we can find eternal life with God rather than the alternative of eternity apart from God.
• So put your trust in the Lord fully.
• Be a part of the remnant who will make it
• Don’t be one who is filled with pride.
