Where do you put your trust? Where do you get your strength? How do you know what to do? How do you know where to go?

Did you hear what I heard?
Did you see what I saw?
Do you want to hear
what I heard?
Do you want to see
what I saw?
God is calling out to you.
He is running out to see you
so that He can wrap His arms
around you
and tell you
how much He loves you
and wants to
spend eternity with you.
God is calling you
and
tugging at your heart
hoping
that you will hear
His still small voice
and respond.

Imagine being Samuel who after waking up Eli a couple times when he heard his name being called, stayed and responded to God’s voice with:

“Speak, your servant is listening.”

What is God wanting to speak to you? When you hear Him calling how will you respond? Don’t ignore it. Don’t run from it. Don’t hide from it.

Jesus gave us a Word to remember something he told His disciples near the end of his time on earth:

"I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or take them upon you or to grasp them now. But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth)" (John 16:12,13).

He wasn’t telling this to strangers but to those who had spent the last 3 years with Him. They still had more to learn as each of us do and need to take time to daily hear from God. He has something to say about every situation we face and He wants to guide us through each of them. That is why the Holy Spirit was sent after he ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father to intercede for me and you. Through the Holy Spirit we are able to hear God speak even when He isn’t standing physically right in front of us.

This opens up a one-to-one channel to speak with God. He wants to talk with us and walk with us ever moment of every day. He wants to guide our steps and keep us moving forward for the glory of God.

Each of us can hear from God and be led by the Holy Spirit daily.

Are you listening?

God is speaking to you

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

John 16:13

Prayer Starter (from today’s devotional):

God, I ask to be guided by the Holy Spirit. I believe that You are speaking to me, and I want to know what You have to say.

Heavenly Father,
I thank You Lord for this new day and all that was in it. I thank You Lord that I was able to be a part of serving You and others while receiving the Word of God preached through Your pastors. Lord, You are so incredible. Help me today in every situation and every decision. Help me Lord to walk in a way that is upright and true so that You may receive the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name. Speak me and guide me Lord one-on-one and step-by-step today so that in all I say and all I do, you will receive the praise, the honor, and the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Verse of the Day

43 “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy.44 But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

Matthew 5:43-45

Fearful to Fearless

6 The righteous will see it and be amazed. They will laugh and say,7 “Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.”

Psalm 52:6-7

Biblical Truth:

Worship the Lord; depend on Him for safety, not in your own strength or wealth, or in your own wicked ways.
